NEWS: Florida Governor Extends State of Emergency

As the CDC begins to loosen its outdoor face mask guidelines for fully vaccinated Americans, there is still a high demand for the necessary medical supplies and preventative measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

In Florida, News 6 Orlando has reported that Governor Ron DeSantis extended the State of Emergency declaration, which first went into effect on March 9th, 2020.

The State of Emergency is now extended for another 60 days. By extending the state of emergency, Governor DeSantis can continue to direct funds for supplies and equipment needed to address the pandemic.

The number of fully vaccinated Americans continues to climb; however, new positive COVID-19 cases continue to appear in states around the country.
