The global health crisis put a few projects on pause in Disney World.

Disney Springs had several new offerings in the works when construction shut down. One of those new options was Beatrix, a healthy dining and coffeehouse restaurant concept. Now, work might begin again on this upcoming spot.

Last week, Disney filed a permit (with Beatrix Orlando mentioned) for work on a “full-service restaurant consisting of approx. 18,500 sf indoor & outdoor seating.”

Wow, that’s a big space! This certainly seems to be work on the new restaurant. The permit has Beatrix Orlando and its parent company Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises listed. The contractor is Hoar Construction — a company that typically works on larger projects in Disney World.

Notably, the permit has an expiration date of April 15th, 2023. This date marks the final day that this work can be ongoing. Will the work actually take two years? We’re not sure, but it does have that lengthy window.

When Beatrix does open, we’ll get to try out a wide variety of eats. We’ll keep a close eye out for more news about this upcoming spot. As always, stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney updates!
