Ranking the Upcoming Star Wars Shows By How Excited We Are to Watch!

Anybody else hooked on Star Wars after binge-watching The Mandalorian or taking a trip to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge?

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

Disney is plowing full steam ahead with its Star Wars entertainment planned over the next few years. As you get your homemade Kat Saka’s Kettle Popcorn and a Fuzzy Tauntaun ready to go, you’ll be able to tune into all these Star Wars series heading to Disney+!

We’re ranking the new Star Wars shows by how excited we are to watch them!

11. Star Wars: Visions

When Star Wars: Visions makes its debut, the show will be in a Japanese style anime, which is new to the franchise. There will be 10 episodes as each one explores different parts of the Star Wars universe with fresh stories to reel in audiences.

Anime and Star Wars will absolutely be a memorable experience fans won’t want to miss!

10. Lando

Disney hasn’t confirmed whether Donald Glover will be back to play a young Lando or Billy Dee Williams will give you a look at an older Lando. BUT we do know that Lando is being developed by Justin Simien! There has been some rumor that the story could follow Lando as he helps Luke Skywalker hunt down the Sith.

Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian

We may even see flashback sequences that involve both Lando Calrissian actors! But we’ll have to wait for more details!

9. Rangers of the New Republic

After the Empire collapsed in Return of the Jedi, the Rebels helped set up the New Republic. Rangers of the New Republic will follow pilots like Trapper Wolf and Carson Teva as they help maintain order in the galaxy and get rid of the last remaining bits of the Empire.

Since Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are developing it, the show will mostly likely incorporate elements from The Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka.

8. A Droid Story

If you’re a fan of all the droids throughout the Star Wars universe, this series is for you! R2-D2, C-3PO, and another hero (who is yet to be named) will set off on adventures around the galaxy in A Droid Story. The series will show off Lucasfilm’s special effects team by blending animation and Lucasfilm’s Industrial Light and Magic division together for a hit show.

We’ll take as much R2-D2 and C-3PO as we can get!

7. The Mandalorian

We haven’t heard too many details about season 3 of The Mandalorian, but Disney+’s ever-popular Star Wars show is still moving forward. We aren’t too sure what the fate of Grogu is right now as sweet Baby Yoda’s separated from Din Djarin (better known as the titular Mandalorian). Now that we’re aware Luke Skywalker is training Grogu, we’re sure that there is a LOT of story to unpack.

How will both Mando and Baby Yoda play into the Star Wars universe now that they’re officially a part of the “Skywalker Saga?”

6. The Book of Boba Fett

The Book of Boba Fett logo was revealed at the end of the second season of The Mandalorian, and we couldn’t be more excited! Now that it’s obvious Boba Fett survived the Sarlacc Pit, he stepped up to the plate to try and save Grogu. But Fett and Fennec went off on their own adventure that we’ll actually be to see in The Book of Boba Fett.

Bounty hunters are really becoming Disney’s new favorite focus, huh?

5. The Bad Batch

It was emotional to see the end of an era as Star Wars: The Clone Wars had its grand finale. And now fans can enjoy the spin-off from the show inspired by an episode of the same name! The Bad Batch is about a group of “defective” genetically modified clone troopers. Clone Force 99 then becomes mercenaries, so Disney will most likely go down that route with a continuation of The Clone Wars story.

The Bad Batch

We haven’t been ready to give up The Clone Wars yet, so we’re thrilled to see The Bad Batch make its way to Disney+!

4. The Acolyte

Based on the High Republic era seen in other Star Wars entertainment, The Acolyte will dive into the Jedi Order during their prime about 200 years before Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Leslye Headland will be a showrunner of the series that’s a “mystery thriller.” And we can’t WAIT to learn more about the Jedis’ past in a new light!

Oh, and just a reminder — Yoda was totally alive during the High Republic era, so he could be making a surprise appearance!

3. Andor

Ever since Cassian Andor made his appearance in Rogue One, we’ve wanted to know more about his involvement in getting the Death Star plans to the Rebels. Andor will give fans a deeper dive into Cassian’s backstory leading up to the events of the Rogue One. The story will center around his espionage past as a multitude of cast members return to the show.

Genevieve O’Reilly will be portraying her previous role as Mon Mothma from Revenge of the Sith, Rogue One, and Star Wars: Rebels. And, Alan Tudyk will return as the sassy K-2SO. Other cast members include Stellan Skarsgard, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, and Kyle Soller with Rogue One writer Tony Gilroy overseeing the production.

2. Ahsoka

After her live-action appearance in season 2 of The Mandalorian, it’s no surprise that Ahsoka Tano would eventually get her own show! The animated character was integral to the plot of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels. Rosario Dawson will be playing the live-action version once again (she debuted the live action version in The Mandalorian season two) in the “limited series” Ahsoka that’s written by Dave Filoni and produced by Jon Favreau.

Our girl totally deserves all the well-deserved recognition she’s finally getting with her dedication to help the galaxy, her AWESOME dual lightsabers, and her iconic look! Could she become our next favorite Star Wars character? Time will only tell during Ahsoka

1. Obi-Wan Kenobi

It wouldn’t be a list of Star Wars shows without the appearance of Disney’s new Obi-Wan Kenobi show! Ever since we heard that Ewan McGregor would be returning to his iconic role, we’ve barely been able to contain our excitement. The series has already picked up filming as the set’s constructed. But the BIGGEST news is that Hayden Christensen will also be returning to the show as Anakin Skywalker (or Darth Vader)! The story will pick up ten years after Revenge of the Sith as Obi-Wan watches over a young Luke Skywalker on Tatooine.

  1. I will be watching so many different Star Wars shows. I will be a hermit locked in my room all day binge watching. Which is pretty much what I do all day anyway. That is the story of my life. I am a tv and movie addict.

  2. There is a battle going on between Kathleen Kennedy and Jon Favreau at Lucasfilms. Whoever wins that battle will determine the future of this franchise.
