NEWS: Universal Hollywood Announces New Special Ticketed Event!

Due to California state regulations, major theme parks like Disneyland Resort and Universal Hollywood have not been able to reopen since the closures initially began almost one year ago.

While the parks have been closed, the locations have opened up at various times for public services like voting or vaccine distribution centers. But, as time passes, the parks are finding a new innovative way to welcome guests back. And, just as Disneyland Resort is preparing to begin their ticketed park events, Universal Studios Hollywood is planning its own special event.

Beginning Friday, March 12th, Universal Studios Hollywood will host a new ticketed event, Taste of Universal! Every weekend (Friday-Sunday) from 12PM to 7PM, select themed lands will open up to welcome guests back to experience all the shopping and dining that we know and love.

And, they’re rolling out the red carpet for this special event — literally!

Rides, shows, and other attractions will not be open for the event but there will be plenty of food to occupy you! You’ll be able to eat your way through Springfield, U.S.A., The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Hollywood & Dine, and, for the first time, the NEW Minion Cafe will be open!

What exactly do minions eat? Some delicious fare actually! Including Grilled Cheese Sandwiches with Meatballs, Chicken & Bacon Mac and Cheese, and Nutella Banana pudding.

In addition to many of the stores reopening at the park, the newest shop, “The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash,” will open during the event for a special first look!

Tickets for the events are already on sale and are $44 for adults and $25 for kids ages 3-9. And, if you’re a Universal Annual and Season Pass member, you’ll be able to score a discount on the tickets. We can’t wait to get back into the park and eat through the 70 different snacks (with 30 new ones!) coming to the event! Oh, and we’re excited to do lots of shopping too!
