One of the highlights of EPCOT’s various festivals is the musical entertainment that’s usually offered.
However, since the parks reopened, these large-scale concert events have been canceled due to health and safety precautions. As part of the Festival of the Arts (the 2021 fest just ended), guests usually get to watch Broadway stars perform hit songs in the America Gardens Theatre. If you missed those performances this year, then we may have a solution for you!
In Orlando, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts will be hosting a Broadway concert this month! It’s part of the center’s Frontyard Festival and titled “The Music of Disney on Broadway.”
The concert will feature performers Michael James Scott, Ashley Brown, Kissy Simmons, and Josh Strickland, all of which have performed at EPCOT before. Scott, Brown, and Simmons all hail from Florida, and all four of the group have starred in Disney productions. Among them, they have credits for main roles in shows like Aladdin, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast, and Tarzan.
Tickets for the concerts start at $25 and there are three shows to choose from: 1:30PM March 20th, 8PM March 20th, and 8PM March 21st. The group will be backed by a band and perform songs from various other Disney productions in addition to the ones they starred in.
We’ll keep an eye out for more details on this event and let you know of any news. Click here to visit the website for more information and ticket purchases.
