Today is the official kick-off of the 2021 Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! That means we’ve been traveling around World Showcase all day long trying all of the goodies!
While spending the afternoon in World Showcase, we happened to notice some interesting activity going on with one of the barges that will be used in the upcoming nighttime spectacular, Harmonious!
Last month, a giant barge moved into World Showcase Lagoon, where it will live throughout the day and evening as part of Harmonious. During the day, the barges will be used to put on a fountain show. Today, we noticed that one of its arms was being tested!

The arm moved out and back in. Right now we aren’t exactly sure what these arms will be used for, but Harmonious promises to be a nighttime show unlike any other!
Harmonious takes the place of EPCOT Forever, which was the temporary layover after the closure of the long-running show Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. Harmonious was originally scheduled to open last spring, but was delayed due to the park closures in 2020.
While we don’t exactly know when Harmonious will debut, it looks like more exciting developments are taking place!
