Disney has always pushed the envelope with its robotic technology and the animatronics it uses in its theme park attractions.

And Disney continues to introduce state of the art animatronics in its parks, like the mind-blowing figures in Tokyo Disneyland’s new Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast attraction or the graceful shaman figure in Disney World’s Na’vi River Journey.
A new video published by Disney’s Research Hub shows just how far the company’s technology has come. The video features a demonstration of a new robot that has eye features that work almost exactly like a human’s. And it’s uncanny watching how it blinks, darts its eyes back and forth, and gazes as if it were real.
Disney Imagineering has always been at the forefront of technology, and we expect the company will continue to move forward, constantly pushing the boundaries of what can and can’t be done with robotics.
