As Disney moves forward with reopening many of its business, the company has announced the decision to lay off 28,000 employees over the coming months.

While numerous unions have made statements about the impact that this will have on members, Disney Cast Members have also revealed information about their employment statuses. Restaurants, resorts, and entertainment will all be experiencing job discontinuations.
According to reporter Scott Gustin, Disney Vacation Club Cast Members will also be a part of the company-wide layoffs. Previously, Disney filed a notice in Florida that 279 employees would be let go beginning December 4th in Florida, as reported by ClickOrlando.
Update: At least 279 jobs at Disney Vacation Club have been eliminated, according to WARN notices provided to the state of Florida.

However, this is the first indication that those employees are, in fact, Disney Vacation Club Cast Members. As more information is released from Disney, unions, and other Cast Members, we’ll be sure to keep you up-to-date with everything you need to know!
