It may just be the start of spooky season, but already we’re getting a look towards what the most wonderful time of the year will look like in Disney World!

Disney has announced that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the Candlelight Processional have both been put on hiatus for the year, while EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays will be happening. But, that’s not all! Disney also announced a big change coming to a major Magic Kingdom landmark for the holiday season!
While nighttime spectaculars are still taking a break at the parks, guests will still be able to enjoy some projections on Cinderella Castle for the holidays! Disney has announced that they will be using “special projection effects” to give a “festive look to Cinderella Castle” at Magic Kingdom!

The special projections will take place nightly, providing a beautiful backdrop for guests’ photos at the Most Magical Place on Earth. There will be a rotating series of projections on the castle, with designs that will transform Cinderella’s humble abode into a “whimsical Christmas sweater”, and a “regal overlay of red, green, and gold ornamentation.” This new projection series will be taking the place of the Castle Dream Lights that typically take place during the holidays at the park. You can get a preview of what the projections will look like in the video below!
