It’s no secret that the holiday season in Disney World (as in right now) means lots of crowds. That means you’ll likely face everything from high wait times for rides to having problems getting restaurant reservations to crowded parking lots.

Speaking of crowded parking lots, you might want to consider taking a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft if you’re traveling around Disney World, but before you do that, we have to warn you about something.

Everything in Disney World is very busy now. Parking lots are full, especially parking lots at Disney Springs, which can fill up fast this time of year. If you drive to Disney Springs during the holiday season, you might even notice that there will be times that  all parking lots and entry into the shopping and dining district is closed.

So the most logical thing to do if you don’t want to take Disney World transportation is to take an Uber or Lyft, right? Well, here’s the thing. A lot of people are also traveling around Disney World using Uber or Lyft, which means that you might find yourself waiting a long time to be picked up.

So what can you do to save yourself the time and hassle? If you take Uber or Lyft, consider scheduling your pick-up times in advance so that a car will be waiting for you when you’re ready for it. This will require some pre-planning on your part, but it will save you a lot of time you would’ve spent waiting to be picked up.
