NEWS: SeaWorld Orlando Representative Says They Would Like to Reopen Park By End of June

Today is a big day for Florida theme parks!

While Disney Springs has currently reopened to guests, representatives from different Florida theme parks are currently meeting with Vice President Mike Pence to discuss steps moving forward. Earlier today, it was reported that the Orlando theme parks, including Disney World, Universal Orlando, and SeaWorld, would be proposing their reopening plans and dates tomorrow. A representative for SeaWorld took this one step further, noting today when they hope to have SeaWorld Orlando reopen.

After SeaWorld extended its closure indefinitely, the parks have discussed the possibilities of reopening this summer.

During the Orlando roundtable today, SeaWorld representative Marc Swanson stated that they are looking to open the parks again by the end of June. Whenever the parks are given the green light for reopening, it will allegedly take them two weeks to prepare for guests to visit again.

At this time, Florida theme parks are being asked to submit their reopening plans to Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings, followed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for consideration. We’ll keep you updated with more information!
