Walt Disney Hometown Museum Announces a Re-Opening Date

States across the nation are beginning a gradual reopening process, with shops, restaurants, and local attractions taking place in the process of resuming business operations.

One local museum in Missouri with deep ties to the Walt Disney Company has announced a date that they intend to re-open. As they re-open, they are implementing new measures to ensure public safety and maintain social distancing.

The Walt Disney Hometown Museum, located in Marceline, Missouri, plans to re-open their doors on June 2nd, 2020. The museum honors the life and legacy of Walt Disney himself, including a collection of rare family effects and exhibits detailing Walt’s life in Marceline.

In a statement on their website, the museum has transitioned to a “touch-less payment system.” The museum plans on their story stations to also become touch-less before they reopen.
