Disney officials have confirmed that a runner participating in the runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend has died.
The unidentified runner was participating in the first event of the race weekend, the Disney Fall Fest 5k, when they collapsed and died Friday morning.
According to a report from WESH 2 News, a Disney spokesperson said “We are deeply saddened by this heartbreaking loss, and our thoughts and sympathies remain with the runner’s family and loved ones throughout this difficult time.”

True story- Years ago I was standing next to an old man and we were talking in front of a large pane glass window. As we stood there, a sparrow came crashing into the window and fell dead on the cement. The old man looked down at the bird then turned to me and said “life is so short, and only once.
