Earlier today, we gave you a pre-opening preview of the standard rooms at the new Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs Resort. The resort officially opens to the public tomorrow, July 9.

During our preview, we also had a chance to walk through one of the resort’s 44 Deluxe Suites, so we wanted to share those photos as well!
As you enter the Deluxe Suite, you find a sleek powder room, with Spanish touches like those you’ll see throughout the entire Gran Destino Tower.
The artwork that you see here is from the surrealistic Disney animated film “Destino,” which was originally a collaboration between Walt Disney and Spanish painter Salvador Dali. “Destino” (which means “destiny” in Spanish) inspires much of the decor around this Tower, in fact.

The Deluxe Suite is a spacious 750 square feet. Its living room is decorated in a soft aqua and tan color scheme. Rugs and accent pillows feature a bit of a rust shade that provides some contrast to the muted colors.

There’s a wide-screen, flat-panel television mounted on the wall, with very contemporary, marble-topped tables around the room.

The light-colored walls, light hardwood floors and lighter draperies all give the room a bright, airy feel, which is a welcome difference from some other Disney hotel rooms — the Animal Kingdom Lodge’s dark, heavy woods and decor, for example.

There’s a small table with two chairs and a high-intensity lamp, which can double as either dining table or work desk.

Like the Tower’s two Presidential Suites and the four King Suites, guests staying in the Deluxe Suite have access to the Chronos Club on the 15th floor. That means they can take advantage of complimentary refreshments there throughout the day.
Still, if you want to enjoy a light breakfast or snack in the room, there is a small kitchen area with a single-cup Keurig coffee maker, as well as a mini-fridge. As part of the Deluxe Suite amenities, you even get complimentary bottled water.

Moving into the bedroom you’ll notice the detail work on the doors. Can you spot the Hidden Mickey?

The Deluxe Suite sleeps four — in addition to the king bed in the bedroom, the couch in the living space is a sleeper-sofa.

You’ll note in the closet that there are two plush terry bathrobes for use during your stay. There’s also extra bedding, a wall safe, and an iron and ironing board.

The suite’s full bath also features the Spanish tile motif that you see all around the resort.

There’s more Destino-inspired artwork in this bathroom, too.

As you can see, as part of its commitment to reduce plastic use in its hotels, Disney has provided wall-mounted, refillable shampoo and body wash in the shower.

Regular toiletries are provides on the bathroom counter.

The Deluxe Suites are certainly just that… deluxe! They have every amenity you could want… and some you don’t!

Looks like they are doubling down on Business Conference crowds.
These rooms look beautiful and very modern. Also seems to be quite spacious. I like the look of the bathroom especially.
Have been looking every where for pictures of Chronos Club level! Hoping opening day will be able to see samples of daily offerings. We are scheduled to stay club level and want to make sure it’s worth it.
Hi Veronica, we have some photos in this post on the new tower: http://allears.net/2019/07/08/new-gran-destino-tower-debuts-at-disneys-coronado-springs-resort/ We’ll have more details and photos soon!
I’ll be there this weekend, I can take a few pics of the club level food offerings. Will be in the Presidential Suite in Dec.
Thanks, Bill!
