Disney Vacation Club’s 15th location, Disney’s Riviera Resort, is slated to open in the fall of this year. Today, on the Disney Vacation Club Facebook page, we got a peek at some additional concept images for the location as well as the logo for the resort.

With plans for approximately 300 units across a variety of accommodation types, this resort will connect to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at Epcot via the Disney Skyliner. This new resort will be the first all-Disney Vacation Club property at Walt Disney World since Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa opened in 2004.
The theming of the resort is inspired by the European grandeur Walt Disney experienced in his travels along the Mediterranean coastline. The new concept art shows the resort with fireworks from Epcot (but sadly, not IllumiNations which “retires” in the second half of 2019) in the background.

We are also treated to a second new concept image of the front of the resort, which shows more detail than the previously released concept art.

I am always up to trying new DVC locations. I will say that the theming concept as shown in drawings does not pull me in yet, but we will see. Love the idea of using the skyliner though.
Will these have the extra washrooms like Bay Lake villas and Animal Kingdom villas?
Hey Paul, They haven’t given out those details as yet. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear more.
The floor plans are available on the disney vacation club website now. The one bedroom villas only have one bathroom. Disappointing.
We would like to September 2019. Will it be open then and how soon can you book rooms?
Hi Amy, They haven’t announced those specifics as yet! We’ll post as soon as we hear!
Certainly would give it a try! Looks good so far. And I get to try the Skyliner!
I will probably stay there eventually. Depending on points scale and such. Also, is it me or does that pool look quite boring?
The word is that the “quite” pool is shown in this drawing. There will also be a themed pool with slide ect.
I’m hoping to purchase here when it opens
