Vivoli Gelato – Hidden Gem at Disney Springs

Posted on
Silvana Vivoli, the granddaughter of Raphael Vivoli, one of the company's founders, was recently at the Vivoli Gelato to introduce four new fall flavors: Tiramisu, Apple Pie, Pecan, and Pumpkin. It was clear at the start that Silvana Vivoli is quite passionate about her family business. She stressed to us how important it has been to remain dedicated to creating pure gelati and sorbetti with fresh, high quality ingredients and family crafted recipes. There is nothing artificial! The store uses local and seasonal products, with cocoa powder, hazelnut and pistachio imported from Italy.

Disney Springs Offers New Holiday Experience

Posted on
The Disney Parks Blog this week teased about a new holiday experience coming to Disney Springs. We don't have any details yet, but you can see a very short video that drops a few hints HERE. In addition to the previously announced Christmas Tree Trail, Disney Springs will offer the following for the holidays: -- At the Marketplace, the Festival of Toys, a nightly interactive holiday dance party, will be featured at the Once Upon a Toy Fountain. There will also be pin trading and a nightly tree-lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. in that neighborhood of Disney Springs. -- Santa's Chalet will return, and Disney PhotoPass photographers will be on hand. You can pick up a pager upon arrival, allowing you to shop, dine or play while you wait for your turn in the queue to visit Santa. -- Stitch's Holiday Gift Hunt, a scavenger hunt-style activity for the whole family, is set to start on the day after Thanksgiving. The hunt will send you through all four neighborhoods of Disney Springs. Once complete, you can visit participating locations for a limited-edition completer button. Most holiday festivities will continue at Disney Springs through January 8, 2017.

Morimoto Asia, a Pan Asian restaurant located in Disney Springs, recently started a Dim Sum Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. I was invited to experience some of the foods offered during the brunch, and I want to share my thoughts with you. We tasted a variety of foods that are available on the Brunch Menu. The portion sizes you see are approximately the same size you would receive at the brunch.

With the temperatures in Orlando finally dipping to the point that we're not uncomfortable the minute we step outside, it's beginning to feel a lot like fall -- or as much of a fall season as we can expect in the Sunshine State. And while that means locals might break out the long sleeves and boots this weekend, for those in the culinary field, it signals the opportunity to change up their menus.

“A Princess Royal Reception” Comes to Disney Springs This October

Posted on
A one-month, limited-time offering debuted on October 1 at the World of Disney at Disney Springs Marketplace. "A Princess Royal Reception" takes place at the store intermittently between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day featuring a visiting Disney princess -- Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, Tiana or another. There are no set times for specific characters. A Disney PhotoPass photographer is on hand to capture each interaction, and the photos are available for guests to purchase or download as part of their Memory Maker product purchase. When you arrive at the World of Disney, check in for the experience and a cast member will tell you the approximate wait time and return instructions. When it is time for you to return to the queue, you'll be moments away from meeting a Disney Princess. The royal reception will run through November 1.
