Disney Springs Grand Opening Celebration: Every night through Labor Day, there are more than 20 different entertainment acts performing throughout the four Disney Springs neighborhoods, including improvisational rappers, DJs, Living Statues and local talent like Sleeping Sunset, Dayve Stewart, CeCe Teneal, and The Liam Duncan Trio. Every afternoon, the Marketplace Fountain will be home to a DJ Party. Shops throughout Disney Springs will offer an array of sales and specials. Roaming PhotoPass photographers will have Disney Springs Grand Opening-themed frames and props for you to pose with. In select locations like The Ganachery and Amorette's Patisserie, limited-edition "Grand Opening" treats will be available.

Coca Cola Store Orlando Invites Guests to Shop Refreshed at Disney Springs

The Coca-Cola Store Orlando opened at Disney Springs Town Center on July 2. The store, which is modeled after a 1920s Coca Cola bottling plant, is one of only three retail locations operated by The Coca Cola Company in the United States. It features a broad assortment of Coca-Cola branded merchandise and has a rooftop beverage bar. For the ultimate Coke experience, guests can choose from a variety of Coca Cola brands from around the world, such as Beverly from Italy and Thums Up from India, frozen beverages and more than 100 drink choices via Coca Cola Freestyle machines. A selection of specialty adult beverages is available in the evenings. Beginning in August, guests can share a moment with the famous Coca Cola Polar Bear.

Kid’s Sushi Class at Wolfgang Puck’s June 25th

Wolfgang Puck Cafe at Disney Springs will host a sushi-making class for kids on June 25, from noon to 2 p.m. Kids will learn how to make an array of sushi, including hand rolls, nigiri and maki rolls, and will learn how to properly prepare and season sushi rice, healthy eating habits, and basic cleanliness and food safety skills. Art Smith’s Homecoming Kitchen Opens Summer 2016

The previously announced Art Smith's Homecoming: Florida Kitchen and Shine Bar are now expected to open at Disney Springs in mid-summer. Featuring "farm-to-fork" cuisine, the restaurant will offer Southern favorites such as cheese-laced drop biscuits, Smith's world-famous fried chicken, and macaroni and cheese. Desserts will be fresh fruit cobblers and other sweets, including the restaurant's signature Mockingbird and Shine cakes. The venue will feature locally sourced ingredients, and will adjust select dishes depending on the season. The 200-seat, 6,000-square-foot space will have a mix between old Florida and rustic-chic decor, with an open kitchen. The restaurant's adjacent bar, Shine, will serve hand-crafted cocktails, resort-style punches and retro coolers made with artisanal moonshine.

Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs has received the Design Built Award of Merit from the American Institute of Architects (AIA). The AIA Awards Gala honored the best of architectural design in Central Florida at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, April 23. As one of Florida's most prestigious and inclusive honors in exemplary design, the award celebrates the newly opened restaurant alongside celebrated architects, designers and key industry professionals both theoretical and built projects.
