Walked over to Riverside from French Quarter. Hoped to see Bob Jackson but turned out he was on vacation. He is a treasure! My friend and I shared a charcuterie board and we had good margaritas. Plenty of food for two and tasty. It's always nice to visit River Roost Lounge.
Pros:
Good snacks and drinks. Bob's the best when he's there!Cons:

It's been awhile since I've been here. It had gone downhill in my opinion but lately the menu's been improved and reviews have been good. I tried the buffalo chicken grilled cheese sandwich and it was quite tasty. So was the side salad. A couple other things on the menu looked good so I wouldn't be afraid to try it again in the future.
Pros:
Good sandwich-plenty of seating.Cons:

I had a great dinner at Narcoosee's. It had been years since I've eaten there and it was a great experience. Had the best margarita. The Shrimp Boucatini was delicious. My waiter was friendly and funny. Expensive but worth it.
Pros:
Great food and drink, nice waiter, great atmosphere.Cons:
A bit pricey was good food.Review of Wailulu Bar and Grill

I really enjoyed my first lunch at Wailulu. The setting is so lovely and the food was very good. I ate Teriyaki Chicken Sliders and would order them again. I'd love to try the burger someday-it looked great going by. The Liliakulani Mai Tai was very tasty. My waitress was very friendly . Nice lunch experience.
Pros:
Good foo-good prices-nice atmosphere.Cons:

I'm a fan of the Nomad Lounge but during my visit in May I decided to try Tiffin's Their menu didn't have a big draw for me in the past but they now offer a $39 Lunch Burger so it was time to try it. The restaurant was pretty. I liked many of the carvings. My margarita was good as was my burger. It was juicy and cooked the way I like it. My server wasn't particularly friendly and I though the place was a bit "stuffy" so I think I'll stick to the Lounge.
Pros:
Pretty place, good lunchCons:
Not a friendly atmosphere and though lunch was good, the burger was not worth $39.Reviewed by disneydiner Review Date: 08/12/2025

My home away from home! My favorite resort-so close to every park, especially Epcot. I love the compactness of the resort, no room is too far way. The newly decorated rooms are very nice. The Cast Members are all very friendly and I love the pin trading boards in the gift shop and lobby. The Beignets are a real treat. Cat Scat's is fun. I have stayed there 33 times and hope stay #34 is soon!
Pros:
Size of resort, nice rooms, good bus service, price, Beignets!Cons:

Mears deserves a much better rating than it has.I used it before Magical Express and after Magical Express and it is always reliable, on time, clean, comfortable and affordable. Due to an airline time change, my Mears pick up for my flight home in May was 4:10am and the driver was right there on time and a very cheery and nice lady. Magical Express is a loss I really miss but I'm glad Mears is around to get me to and from MCO/WDW.
Pros:
On time, clean, affordable, nice driversCons:

The Learning How to Taste Wine Experience at Wine Bar George I attended in May was a unique, informative and most enjoyable experience. The six wines, charcuterie and stories told by Master Sommelier George Miliotes made for a very fun afternoon. It was interesting hearing the backgrounds of the wines and learning how to properly taste what you're drinking. I am a fan of both whites and reds and found 4 of the 6 to be very enjoyable. 2 were OK. I noticed as I glanced around the tables of the very well attended event that many men did not drink all of their wines-the ladies did! I wish I remembered the name of the soft cheese we were served-so good! It was a terrific way to sample wines I've never had. Mr. Miliotes said he varies the wines at these experiences so attending another someday would be a totally new experience. It was an expensive "lunch" but I hope to do it again. If you like wine, give yourself a treat!
Pros:
Good wines, good cheeses and meats and good stories from the Master.Cons:
May be too expensive for some but the experience is worth it.Review of Gaston's Tavern

My greatest treat discovery during my May vacation was the Creme Brûlée Croissant at Gaston's Tavern. When I read about it, I knew I had to try it. I loved it-so flakey, not overly sweet and the filling was luscious. It was a great afternoon treat and is definitely on my must get list for my next trip. It would make a great breakfast too.
