Review of Kona Cafe Lunch/Dinner

Had an absolutely wonderful meal at Kona Cafe during a quick 4th of July visit. We had no issues getting the reservation and no problems making a change when we got closer to the date to adjust to a change in our schedule. For dinner, we (2 adults) ordered 2 appetizers to share - the glazed wings and the pot sticker, the Big Kahuna burger, and the tuna poke bowl. The wings were delicious - perfectly cooked and covered in a sweet teriyaki style sauce, toasted sesame seeds, and bits of scallion. So messy but totally worth it, and the server offered us a hot towel after. The pot sticker was the highlight for me. I totally did not pay attention to the menu and was expecting traditional smaller size dumplings. Instead, it is one large pancake-sized pot sticker. The dough was tender but not too thick, it was delightfully crispy on the outside edges, and the filing was so tasty. I could have eaten this for my own meal. The burger was an unexpected surprise on the menu but also amazing, and they did not hold back on the corned beef or pastrami. It was huge! And lastly for dinner, the tuna poke will definitely be on repeat for future dinners at Kona. The fish was fresh and plentiful, and the yuzu mayo, rice, and a little crispy garnish all made for the perfect bowl. We have had many wonderful breakfasts at Kona and I’m so glad we finally had the chance to try it for dinner. It quickly made it to my list of favorites at WDW!
Pros:
*Fairly simple to get a reservation *Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner *Nice sushi offerings *The bread pudding dessert seems to be the same as what you get at ‘Ohana. *On the MK monorail line, and there’s a water ferry.Cons:
Only thing I can think of is that the front of the restaurant is open and some tables are very close to the main walkway around the upper concourse of the Polynesian, so people tend to stare at you as they’re passing by or waiting for their table.Review of Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage

I do not like to be negative but WHY are people waiting an hour or longer for this? This is the only ride at Disney World I've ever gotten off of and said "I hated that." To start, this is the ONLY ride that has ever made me feel queasy - exercise caution if 3D-screen based rides tend to mess with your stomach. Otherwise, the best way I can describe this ride is forgettable. The story isn't very engaging, nor do the ride's motion capabilities feel like they do justice for what is conveyed by its screen element. Things happen around you, your rat car moves, more things happen around you, and repeat. But unlike other screen based attractions, such as Flight of Passage, the only element contributing to immersion is the scents they pump in - which are enjoyable, but can't carry this ride by themself. I admit that my dislike of this ride is exacerbated by its typical wait, but even if I disregard the wait time it still is a big step back from rides of a similar style, such as Rise of the Resistance or Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway.
Pros:
Pleasant scents. The rat cars are pretty cute.Cons:
Experience fails to justify the average wait. May cause motion sickness.Review of Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery

This is an Animal Kingdom must-do for me going forward. I got the croissant sandwich and the tomato-pepper relish sets this apart as a favorite from the trip. But the real star here is the coconut flavored iced coffee. I got the non-alcoholic version, and it was the PERFECT drink to have in hand while waiting for Kilimanjaro Safaris first thing in the morning.
Pros:
Tasty and unique breakfast options. Line moved pretty quickly.Cons:
Standing tables only, and not many of them.Reviewed by korm Review Date: 07/09/2025

This is a great resort for guests that have done WDW before and are interested in staying somewhere with a vibe that's more low-key than many other Disney resorts. We were in a studio, and honestly my favorite part of staying here was just how spacious the room was. The room and bathroom were very clean, my only room-related complaint is that we could hear the party in the room next to ours more than I've noticed at other resorts. Olivia's is certainly a hidden gem restaurant and its to-go option is a plus. The property is beautiful and relaxing, but also sprawling. The number one complaint I read about this resort prior to my stay was the bus loop, which I can now concur with. It takes give-or-take 20 minutes to get through the bus loop in its entirety, so depending on your stop you'll either deal with a long wait between hopping on and arriving at your destination, or run the risk of a bus filling up before it reaches your stop. My park approach is very relaxed so this wasn't too much of an issue, but heavy planners may be pretty thrown off by this. Overall though, I would absolutely stay here again.
Pros:
Spacious rooms. Good food & drink options. Relaxing vibe.Cons:
Long bus loop. Depending on your room's location, walking to the Hospitality House can also be inconvenient.Reviewed by korm Review Date: 07/09/2025

Hands down the best buffet at Disney! I did the dinner buffet, but would love to try the breakfast buffet as well. The service here is excellent, the dining room is spacious, and the food is phenomenal. There is a wide variety of options to choose from here, and Boma manages to walk the line to please both adventurous and pickier eaters. Everyone talks about zebra domes - which are yummy - but do not miss out on their bread pudding.
