We had dinner here on May 5, 2013. We had reservations and we were seated very quickly. We sat indoors, which was nice since it was chilly. We started with the pommes frites, which were delicious. Me and my mom spit the Monte Cristo (plenty for two) and it was great. My husband had the salmon sandwich and the french onion soup, he loved the soup, but the sandwich was just ok. Our five year old had the mac and cheese and he loved it. Dessert was disappointing, the mickey mouse beignets were super cute but didn't taste very good. Overall we had a good meal.

Pros:

most of food great

Cons:

beignets not great

This is the “quick service” area at the Grand Floridian. My daughter (33) and I ate here twice while at Disney May 10 to 16. Food here is prepared fresh and the desserts – Oh Boy! Awesome. Great food and staff were wonderful as well.

Good Food

My daughter (33) and I ate here during our visit to Disney May 10 to 16. Twice ate at the build your own pasta. These meals were always very tasty, hot, and made while you were standing there. Also had a burger there and it was quite good as well. Of course breakfast isn’t breakfast without a Disney Cinnamon Roll and the ones at the bakery here are great!!

Quick Meals When On The Go

Ate lunch here. On the Disney Dining Plan Quick Meal Service. Wonderful lunch, I had the macaroni and cheese – yummy. Real China Dishes and silverware. You place your order, they give you a large stand up card, find a seat and the wait staff deliver to you. We took advantage of the lovely warm weather and ate outside. Our waitress was terrific and was quite surprised that we tipped her considering that we were on the quick service dining plan. She more than deserved a tip – was attentive and looked after us very well. This restaurant is worth a visit to. The crème brulee – superb! I hope they’re still there when I go back!

The Food, Great Waitstaff

Spent the day here Thurs May 16. Last day of vacation for my daughter (33) and I. We were on a late night flight so decided to try out Blizzard Beach (since Typhoon Lagoon had been closed suddenly for a refurb). Really, really enjoyed this water park, in fact more than we like Typhoon Lagoon. Lots of great rides and the bobbing wave pool is much better than the tidal waves at TL. Only down side (and why a 9 not a 10) is the tubes that they let people use in the wave pool. I think Disney should rope off at least one area where those not using a tube could enjoy the waves. Some people using the “free” tubes lack consideration for those that aren’t. Other than that, this is a great place to spend a day. Loved Team Boat Springs. When you get to the top – what a view!

Pros:

fun

Cons:

tubes in the wave pool

This lunch is AWSOME. My daughter (33) and I just finished our trip to Disney (there from May 10 to 16) and ate lunch here twice. She had the turkey sandwich twice and I had the beef sandwich and the turkey sandwich. This lunch experience is worth the wait in line for. We lined up both times at 11 am and were in and finished lunch both times by 12:30. They have the ordering and serving down to a science. After ordering you are handed a red plastic disc with a rose on it and your bill, you go in and find a seat, place the rose and your bill on the table and the wait staff bring your lunch out to you. The meals are on a trolley that has a warmer on top, they come out, find you and serve you your meal. Real china dishes, real silverware. Perfect! The cast members need to be applauded for their patience in dealing with some of the rude customers that my daughter and I witnessed. True professionals! Don’t miss this lunch – especially if you are on the Disney dining plan – it’s worth every penny and the long wait.

Pros:

Atmosphere, Food, Staff

Can't give it a 0 or negative number - wish I could though!!! My adult daughter and I just finished our stay at Disney World (There from May 10 to 16) and were quite disappointed in the service that the shuttles to the parks provide. The Magic Kingdom buses were sometimes few and far between. We were staying at Port Orleans Riverside. On the one day we talked with a lady who was there for an hour and a half and who had counted 17 other park buses before a Magic Kingdom bus arrived. She was with her elderly parents who were in scooters so it was a long wait. The buses, when they arrived, were very overcrowded and we stood up on most of our bus trips. We are back and now planning our next adventure to Disney and we’re hoping that the bus problems will be resolved by the time we go back. The concept of the park shuttles is great but leave yourself lots of time getting to where you are going – especially if your have breakfast/lunch/dinner reservations.

Pros:

Absolutley NONE

Cons:

Wait times, Hit and Miss Kingdom Buses

My daughter (33) and I stayed here from May 10 to 16. This is my third stay at this resort and it is one of my favourites. We stayed in room 9071 (Princess Rooms facing river) and loved it!! We were just around the corner from the quiet pool and just a quick walk from the main pool and the food court. This resort is very large but the walk is just wonderful, beautiful and quite relaxing. The staff here are all very helpful and friendly and made our stay just the best. Many posts talk about how late in the day it is before their room is serviced – please keep in mind the size of the resort and how many people the cleaning staff look after. We felt that Hazel did a great job and she and all the cleaners should be commended for how well they do their jobs. If you are considering staying here – you won’t be disappointed! The only reason I gave this resort a 9 is because of the buses. We were quite disappointed in the service that the shuttles to the parks provide. The Magic Kingdom buses were sometimes few and far between.
