Review of Kouzzina by Cat Cora - Dinner

I love this restaurant. It's my 4th time since 2010 eating here. It's always been exceptional. This time, not quite as wonderful. Our waiter played a big disappearing act through the entire dinner. He'd come, act as if we were imposing on him, then disappear for 25 minutes. It really put a damper on this meal.
The food, as always was great. My friend and I started with the Avgolemono soup. One of those dishes that your mouth waters when you think of it. The same friend and I both had the sampler platter. The Greek lasagna was good, as was the chicken and orzo. The lamb burger, not so much. To me, it reminded me of bad breath. This third of the sampler was actually what I was most looking forward to, and I was so disappointed that I didn't like it. I really wanted to. Another friend at the table really loved them, and finished both of ours, however. The dessert selections were outstanding as usual.
I'm eating there again next trip, so a little bad service won't keep me away!

The atmosphere was really cool and fun for my family, but there were many kids who cried every time the "show"/animatronics started and it got darker. Food was lacking and overpriced. I'm not sure why it's one of the harder Disney restaurants to get into, because there's better food to be had. Paying for dinosaurs- there are plenty of rides throughout DW where you can see dinosaurs.

Clean rooms, fun things around the resort, hotel is convenient to the parks we went to. Kids loved the pool and poolside activities. The only drawback was the overpriced food at the restaurant, but that's part of any amusement park.

Enjoyed sitting in a car at the drive in, but the food was not good at all. Cheap, bland burgers, one of my kids got like 5 fries, and my salmon burger was terrible (very fishy). The service was good, though. Would not go back. For the same price we'd rather eat at the 50s Prime Time.

I've found the food here to be far better than other restaurants in HS, especially for the price. If you have kids it is a must do- the servers treat you like family, including putting you in a corner for bad manners. It's a hoot!! And they have a fantastic lounge with "day's liquor cabinet" to get into while you wait and while you dine. Fun experience, yummy food!

We return to Chefs de France on every trip, and we do so for good reason. The food is absolutely wonderful, and the staff equally so. My table split a bottle of Charles de Fere Champagne, which was easily one of the best Champagnes I've ever had.
We split the Assiette Campagnarde, the assortment of meats and pate selection. Wonderful as always, especially with the ridiculously good bread service this place routinely turns out.
I typically get the Prix Fixe dinner. The onion soup is just out of this world. You will NEVER eat it at your local diner again after you eat it here. For my entree I tried something new for me, the Short ribs with pasta. Yet another spectacular dish. For dessert, always the Profiteroles. If you like dark chocolate, this is the dish for you. It's hard not to lick the plate.
The service is always spectacular here. Our waiter, Florian, most definitely went over and above for us, recording a string of French words for us, as my group is all in a show right now with a good bit of French.
I can't recommend this place enough!

We had a really lovely 2 bedroom preferred view villa from 8/23 - 8/30. The room was quite nice, although I think I definitely prefer the room layout at Bay Lake Tower, our home resort. There were only 4 in our group, so having 2 bathrooms between the 4 of us wasn't a major deal. With a full villa, though, I could foresee problems. My other issue with the bathroom was the way they were laid out. I took the master bedroom, and shared that bath with my friend in the middle room. Not having a door between the bedroom and the vanity area caused a bit of a privacy issue one night, when the shutters were open by the whirlpool tub.
The location here is great. The walk to EPCOT was as easy as you could imagine. We didn't try the walk to Hollywood Studios, but opted for the boat. It felt a bit tedious, with 2 stops between us and Hollywood Studios, but it was otherwise ok. The busses were much the same, having to always stop at Swan and Dolphin or Yacht and Beach. But, for me, the transportation at WDW is always a recurring issue. So many stops along the way most times.
The atmosphere was great at the Boardwalk. The entertainment was wonderful. We ate at Kouzzina, which I always recommend. We tried the Bakery twice. The first time, the service was absolutely terrible, and one cast member was about as useless as you could imagine. The 2nd time was much improved.
All in all, I definitely recommend the Boardwalk Villas. It wasn't my first choice for the past trip, but we won't hesitate to return.
