Had lunch here for the first time; at 11:30 am, I was practically the only person there and had the indoor dining room to myself. Where has this place been all my life!!! I had the vegetable platter, which is Vegan as-is, and it was incredible. I've had grape leaves, hummus and tabbouleh before, but these were all just a bit different from what I am used to. The grape leaves were garnished with two kinds of raisins, capers and pine nuts, and had little bit of warm spice (almost like cinnamon?). The pitas came dusted in mild spice and sesame seeds. The harissa hummus fries were totally a new concept, almost like a lightly fried hush puppy, but richly seasoned and a dash of cayenne. Definitely give these a try! The food was some of the best I've ever had anywhere. Hot tea was not on the menu, but they made me a cup of hot (herbal) mint tea - I believe that was the only flavor they had. The dining room was beautiful and the views of the lagoon were outstanding. The service - from the first minute I was greeted, I was treated like a long-lost cousin who stopped in for lunch. I also notice the restaurant is more laid-back and less hurried than most. I can't figure out why they don't have lines halfway around the lagoon of people clambering to get in here. This hidden gem is definitely a new must-do for me. If you like a good meal, genuine warm hospitality, a great view, exotic food, or any combination of these, you must check this place out!
Pros:
Outstanding, amazing food and awesome service, laid back atmosphere!Cons:
Would love to see a few more hot tea offerings (but that's being nit-picky)Review of Rose and Crown Lunch/Dinner

We got lucky and snagged a table here for dinner without a reservation! My mobility-impaired mother could not go down the steps to sit on the lower deck, so they switched us to a table in the main dining room. I had the Vegan Bangers & Mash (not on the menu, but apparently they have it available as a regular thing). Mom had a child's portion of fish and chips. The Bangers & Mash was awesome!! It had two Beyond Meat sausage links and a generous portion of mashed potatoes, plus a dark mushroom sauce/gravy that was a tad sweet and tangy. The whole thing was very good. Mom liked her fish and chips; she would like to have had cocktail sauce for the fish but they did not have any. It was "real" fish, not the cheap junk. The child's portion was just right for her. The interior of the restaurant is very pub-like, all in dark woods and gentle lighting. The service at this restaurant is always gracious and friendly.
Pros:
Awesome vegetarian/vegan options here!Cons:

I was here for dinner and was surprised to find it not very crowded at all - plenty of seating indoors. I had the grilled vegetable burger (which is a Vegan Beyond Meat patty). I asked them to leave off the crispy onions. The burger comes with a little BBQ sauce. It was perfectly prepared and made a very good not-too-heavy dinner. Not the most inspiring thing I ate on my trip, but still quite respectable.
Pros:
Good quick meal.Cons:

Went on a busy Saturday for lunch. I had the plant-based slaw dog and Mom had a regular chili dog with fries. The chili dog was pretty standard fare; the slaw dog was an absolute revelation! The dog is made by Beyond Meat, it was delicious and had a slightly firm texture, almost more like a sausage. The slaw on top was cabbage, sweet corn and a mild creamy sauce; it was flavorful and fresh. What a great new new way to enjoy a hot dog! The bad news is, getting through the line here was a nightmare, then waiting for our food was nearly as bad. I feel like this restaurant just wasn't designed to handle the volume of people that come through on a busy day. Even the mobile ordering pickup was a confused, crowded mess. We nearly despaired to find a place to sit. Hint - go across Main Street to the seating area behind the ice cream parlor, you'll have much better luck. (But then you can't hear the piano player playing ragtime tunes.)
Pros:
Delicious vegetarian hot dog and great entertainment from the pianist!Cons:

I had the chili-spiced tofu with black beans and rice and charred onion vinaigrette. The tofu wasn't very "chili" but was lightly fried just right. I would love to have had more black beans; the black beans and rice come already mixed up so you can't request just one or the other. The vinaigrette, which is really more like a sauce, was very good! Slightly citrus, slightly herb, nicely onion, just right. I would love to have had a little more of it. Mom had the Teylu hot dog with a side of vegetable chips and grapes. The hot dog is baked inside a wrapping of dough, sort of like a crescent roll dough; she said the baked wrapping was hard to cut, but otherwise it was good (I thought it was a fun, different take on a hot dog).
I had a Pandoran Sunrise which was tasty, maybe a little on the sweet side. The portions were just about the right size to get happily full. Some fun notes about the restaurant: there are a few large tables marked as "shared seating." Don't hesitate to sit here and make some new friends! Also, this is the only QS restaurant I've seen that uses "real" dishes (that look like large leaves) and flatware. The food is just exotic enough to be a fun change, but not crazy enough to be scary or weird.
Pros:
Great, tasty, fun food in a lovely setting. Diverse choices to fit a variety of preferences or dietary needs.Cons:
Would love to see the black beans and rice as separate offerings (and a larger proportion of beans). Hot dog wrapping is tough to cut.Review of Coral Reef - Lunch/Dinner

I have been a frequent visitor to this restaurant over the years and for the first time in over a decade the chefs at Coral Reef has once again showed their best culinary skills and impressed this writer.
The blackened Salmon was incredible.
Lightly Blackened, Shiitake Sticky Rice, Soy-Lemon Grass Beurre Blanc.
It's not everyday I get a good meal in the parks and to see the chefs creativity take a simple dish and bring a modern twist in a dish served Asian style in a crème sauce.
One of the best dishes I have had on this trip so far.
desert was the Warm Vanilla Custard-filled Strudel.
it was alright, served with ice cream making it a light dish.
overall a great place to start a must do culinary experience.

The duck was cooked perfectly, crisp skin, plum bbq sauce evenly coated, with a nice complements of jasmine rice and vegetables.
Desert was the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake and it was served just as described; served warm with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce.
Defently impressed and whall be returning again

A decent choice for a meal in the Magic kingdom, great for families, kids and large groups. You do have to book a reservation online to get in and if you don't order your meal ahead of time then you are in line for a bit.
free fountain drinks are available during lunch like any food court, the staff bring your meals to you, and a knowledgeable about food allergies and dietary needs,
I had the Braised Pork (Coq Au Vin Style) Slow-cooked Pork with Mushrooms, Onions, Carrots and Bacon served with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans. Presentation was like home cooking, average but good. Light on the seasoning, the pork falls apart perfectly, beans cooked eldante, typical mash and gravy.
overall its a decent place for families on the dining plan, can get crowded and recommended if going with kids wait until they are old enough for table manners.
If you want a better experience the table service for dinner is better and kids can have their picture taken with the beast.

Went for dinner with family and the restaurant manager recognized me from previous visits. The Chef came out to talk to a family member in our party who has celiac disease and was able to accommodate her dietary request.
Good bread service multigrain bun cut into slices, gluten free rolls available and served hot with butter with sea salt.
The gnocchi was cooked perfectly, held its shape, nicely seasoned with sweet potatoes, onions, mushrooms in a cream sauce. Just the right potion size, perfect potion of sauce with none left over when finished your dish.
Forest Mushrooms, Sweet Potatoes, Rainbow Swiss Chard, Brown Butter-Parmesan-Sage Cream
Desert was the seasonal flight a assortment of 3 deserts, a cheesecake with berries, a berry cobbler and strawberry shortcake.
overall a 7/10 good food and glad to see Chef Kim again.
