Review of Festival of the Lion King

I love this show! I’ve seen it twice, and it was worth getting there early the second time we went, so we could sit in one of the first few rows and see everything really well. The animatronics of the characters from the movie are my favorite part. The stunt show and dancing are great, and the kids love seeing Timon running around and jumping with the other meerkats. The cast is very talented.

Pros:

Very entertaining, so fun to see favorite Lion King characters “come to life”

Cons:

The show is the same every time.

Review of Enchanted Tales with Belle

This is one of the most magical things in Magic Kingdom. It is an immersive experience that really makes kids and adults feel they have been transported into Belle’s world.

Pros:

Kids and some adults get picked to participate in the little show they put on for Belle in her library. There are many magical touches like meeting Lumiere’s and Wardrobe and the magical way they transport you to Belle’s library.

Cons:

If you go multiple times, the show stays the same so it could feel repetitive. I’ve only been twice so that had not yet been a problem for me. Small children who don’t get picked for a part could be disappointed but they try to include all of them and each child gets a photo with Belle and a small gift from her.

Great salad and mediocre pizza. Why are they serving Digourno pizza in Animal Kingdom?

Pros:

Highly decorated eating areas. Artful and cool.

Cons:

Pizza could be a lot better. Acoustics were terrible in the eating areas.

Stayed at Saratoga a few times. Very conveniently located to Disney Springs, which is great. Rooms are nice, feels very private and secluded but the property is pretty spread out and its quite a walk up to the food area.

Pros:

Quiet, rooms are nice

Cons:

distance to the food court, the size of the property overall walking to and from.

It was such a short ride after a long wait. And it seems to be marketed toward younger children but my 4- year old was frightened by it while having no trouble riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Splash Mountain, so it was boring for me and scary for her.

Pros:

Your younger children might enjoy it if they are more thrill-seeking and aren’t tall enough for space mountain.

Cons:

A short ride that was underwhelming for me as an adult and too scary for very young children.

The Filet Mignon did not disappoint. We had heard it was very expensive but honestly it was so delicious it was worth every bite. Waiter was charming and attentive.

Pros:

Steak was amazing. Leave the kids at the American Pavillion like we did.

Cons:

Yes it was expensive.

We LOVE Blaze. It is a good value and tastes great and is pretty clean with no artificial colors etc...If you like pizza it is a good choice. They also have cleaner beverage options with Blue SKies and Aqua Fresca choices.

Pros:

Great cleaner food, decent portion size, great beverage options

Cons:

Noise and wait times....can get very busy...sometimes hard to find a decent place to sit. Also don't really like the Communal seating thing....

Review of Homecomin': Florida Kitchen and Shine Bar

We had a lovely dinner at Homecoming in Disney Springs. Arriving 10 minutes late because of the slow boat, they had given our table away. Maybe 5 minutes later we were led to an indoor table by the bar. Two of us ordered the fried chicken and it was amazing. I haven't eaten fried chicken in a very long time. The donuts were "meh". The wait staff was attentive. Overall an excellent meal.

Pros:

Fried chicken and the Hummingbird cake.

Cons:

Sat next to the noisy bar.

First, I love the atmosphere at this restaurant. It is the reason I go. The menu isn't great, food is just ok, not much variety. Having a special order is a bit of an ordeal and can be difficult at times. It has a cool vibe and is worth experiencing. We go if we get a reservation but it isn't for the food as I said. I have alot of food sensitivities and it is difficult to eat here. The lack of customizable choices is frustrating.

Pros:

Atmosphere

Cons:

Price, lack of choices and variety, food is just ok, wait times are usually pretty long

Our meals were good, maybe a bit overpriced but good. atmosphere is cool and has a steampunk type of vibe..maybe lunch is a bit different but we will be going back again!

Pros:

Atmosphere, no wait time at lunch, good food (organic tomato soup was great)

Cons:

maybe a bit overpriced
