Review of Tiffins

Tiffins was a surprise hit with our group of three seniors. The setting is fun and service is excellent. We ate dinner there on May 2, 2019. The charred octopus appetizer was a nice bite to share, and tasty. My fellow diners had the halibut and the shrimp and grits and both reported that their meals were delicious. I enjoyed the whole fried fish, but would have appreciated more sauce, because the fish itself was rather dry, although tasty. The halo halo dessert was educational, but I don't think that I'll have it again. Sweet potato ice cream isn't for me.
Pros:
Nice setting; good service; good foodCons:

Flame Tree is one of the better choices at Animal Kingdom, but is only for meat lovers. There are no vegetarian choices. The combination meals are too large for lunch, but the pulled pork sandwich is a good size. Seating is very spread out and confusing, and it's almost impossible to find someone who has gone ahead to save a table, unless you text/call the person. Prices, as with all of the theme park fast food restaurants, are excessive for what you get.
Pros:
Convenient; relatively fast; plenty of seatingCons:

We dined at Citricos on May 1, 2019. The atmosphere and service at the restaurant are excellent. The food, however, was a bit of a disappointment. Among three senior adults we had: salade verte, heirloom salad, Florida red snapper, filet mignon, chicken Mediterranean, and a side of mushroom. All three diners were somewhat disappointed with the entrees. I had the red snapper. The fish itself was well-prepared, moist and tender, but it was served over a murky sauce with fingerling potatoes mashed into the sauce. It looked muddy. The topping of raw fennel was quickly lost in the murk and was tasteless. The other diners reported that the chicken was bland and the filet was a bit tough. The mushroom side was a hit. Prices are way out of line with quality of the food and preparation, especially the filet.
The salade verte was reported to be good. The heirloom salad was overly fussy and the dressing was too tart. Desserts were good. We tried the pistachio cheesecake and the tropical fruit creme brulee.
I choose not to recommend this restaurant, because, overall, it is too expensive for the quality of the food, and the chef is overly ambitious and his dishes are too complicated. We felt let down after our meal.

I have stayed in Disney many times and always at one of the villa resorts. This was my first time at a value resort and I was very apprehensive but it turned out that it was fantastic. They're where 3 of us in the room and it was comfortable and clean. The maid service was fabulous, I called for towels they where there within 5 minutes, another time I called for more coffee and they came with a large amount and that was within 2 minutes. We are not use to the cafeteria style food but it really wasn't bad at all. We were in the 50's building which had recently been refurbished, we were over looking the pool and close to the main building and buses. The buses service was impressive, if the bus was full they sent another one in minutes. We had requested an adjoining room or at least near one another and we got the adjoining room, when we asked for one at the Boardwalk the other room was downstairs and across the hotel from us!! The arcade was excellent for the kids and very reasonable and for the adults the massage chairs are well worth the $2 for 10 Minutes. I will be staying here again and again.
Pros:
Exceptional maid service and bus service was impressive alsoCons:

I did a quick solo trip to WDW and stayed at this resort. I chose it because it was the most economical option for a solo traveler. I loved it! I was in a refurbished room in the Love Bug section, bldg 6. It was clean, quiet, and all the castmembers I encountered were very helpful and friendly. The rooms seem smaller with the addition of the queen beds, but it was more than adequate for me. There is a lot of storage space.
Pros:
Clean, quiet, great staff, good options at the food court.Cons:
Small rooms, may be too small for more than 2 people. Resort is big, and some rooms are quite a walk from the bus stop.Reviewed by amitch91 Review Date: 05/03/2019

I have done the future world tour multiple times and loved it, so decided to try something new with the DestiNations Discovered tour for our trip April 28 - May 1, 2019. We got really nervous about trying to get to the tour on time, due to Disney Transportation not actually having a bus to Epcot until 7:45 from WL. First off, when I made the reservation lunch was included, and the price reflects that based on the Future World tour . . . but when we checked in for the tour we were told that things had changed and we would only have a "snack" of cheese and fruit . . . and weren't we informed?? No - not one email or phone call, when they had both. Given the cost of the tour included the lunch, I really felt we should have been given a discount. The tour guide gave a lot of information that I already knew about Epcot. I had read other reviews that the tour included either a stop at Frozen Ever After or a backstage tour of the American Adventure, or even seeing the globe from Illuminations . . . we got none of these. Our only "real" backstage tour was of the Festival kitchen - a brand new facility, however, not exactly what we were looking for. Chef Mike was great to talk to though. It was a slow tour, we stood and listened to the tour guide talk A LOT, and the standing really was wearing on the feet. We did receive VIP standing area for Illuminations, that was a nice perk. Unless you got to see behind the scenes for the rides, or in the buildings, I really wouldn't do this tour again.
Pros:
If you don't know much about World Showcase, will be interesting Tour guide was good, just not enough "new" for me informationCons:
Too slow, too much just standing If when we paid lunch was included, we should have received lunchReview of Crystal Palace Breakfast

Been here a few times, and I'm sad to see this place has slipped down allot. Years back they had a really nice quality buffet. Last time I was there the food had slipped to sub-par cafeteria quality. Not good. I understand people do go there for the characters, but some of us actually like to eat too.

This ride is AWESOME! Just go on it! Even just the entrance/waiting line area to get on the ride is great.
