I was pleasantly surprised by our dinner at Akershus. I booked it because my friend's daughter wanted to eat with the princesses and it was a better use of our dining plan credit than CRT. It was actually a good meal--better than I was expecting. We enjoyed the small buffet of salads, meats and cheeses. Our entrees were tasty. The princess interaction was lovely. The service was great.
Pros:
Eating with princesses Good foodCons:

Well this is not quite the glowing review I gave this place back in 2017. My husband and I ate here in March (2019). I was looking forward to the shrimp and grits but definitely saturated in garlic, and I love garlic. Husband had the make your own salad but it did not have even half the optional ingredients that it used to offer. Not sure this is a stop for us next visit.
Pros:
it's ok....Cons:

We have stayed at POR multiple times, but our recent trip was our first stay at POFQ. We loved it!! We may not go back to POR now. The resort is small and walkable. Everything was so convenient. My son loved the food court and the Mickey beignets. The rooms had been recently renovated which was wonderful. No carpet--I love this. A fabulous stay.
Pros:
Small size Good food courtCons:

We stayed at Kidani in January 2019 with a savanna view room. We really loved the room and the ability to see the animals at any time. Kidani was the first bus pick-up and drop-off (vs. Jambo), which gave us better transportation options to the parks. It was rather limiting, though, not having a quick service location on-site. The gift shop carries very limited snacks and drinks. While the African food on-site is delicious, it can become tedious if staying for several days. Also, the animal views of the savanna made us feel a little guilty leaving to go to the parks each day. If staying here, I would recommend paying for the savanna view. Otherwise, I don't think I would have felt our stay was worth the cost. In the future, we will likely return to view the animals or grab a bite to eat during our trip, but we would not choose this property as our hotel for future visits.
Pros:
Unique atmosphere, friendly staff, access to animal viewing, efficient bus serviceCons:

My husband and I stayed at Saratoga the end of March(2019) and ate our first meal at this quick service. Husband had his go-to favorite cheeseburger flatbread. I changed it up a bit and had the Saratoga salad which was recommended by a cast member....it was awesome and way more than a serving. Have since tried to replicate it at home with marginal success. Artist Palette is not really a standout gotta eat here quick service but we love the atmosphere at this resort in general.
Pros:

We dined here as a last minute decision for a late dinner. It was our third or three character breakfasts during our trip and by far the best experience. You are able to meet several princesses, and the interaction with each is a reasonable amount of time. Since the seating area is smaller than some of the other character meals, they are more efficient in how quickly they move the characters through. We found the service to be punctual, and it was a great experience. We obtained one of the last reservations of the night, which allowed us to linger in the park a little after dinner. The restaurant was also not at capacity during that late time frame. The only downside is that the menu is not necessarily broadly appealing. While we each found something we would eat, I don't know that the food was really an enjoyable part of the meal. This could be a tricky place at dinner for picky eaters.
Pros:
Good character interaction, efficient in food service and character meetings, smaller atmosphereCons:

We visited Pandora on our latest trip in January 2019. It was our first time seeing this addition to the park, which is visually stunning. However, the area was too crowded to really enjoy the atmosphere. The pathways are narrow and struggled to accommodate even off-season crowds. I would have loved to spend time people watching and enjoying the atmosphere, but we were constantly moving with the crowd. Both rides have extremely long waits, and though we were able to FastPass the Navi River, it was underwhelming. Perhaps the long walk and influx of people affected our mood, but I found the ride to be an average dark ride. Given our experience during the day, we did not even attempt to return in the evening. I could see this being an enjoyable area once the novelty wears off a little more. However, we won't be returning to this part of the park for a while.
Pros:
Great theme (even if you haven't seen Avatar), Unique layout, Live entertainmentCons:
Too crowded (even during slow periods), waits are too long for attractions, seems removed from the rest of the parkReviewed by HeidiC Review Date: 04/24/2019

I enjoyed staying at Kidani Village. The room was spacious and I loved having a 2nd bathroom in the 1 bedroom suite. The suite was set up like an apartment and had all the amenities of home. We loved having the Savannah view and really enjoyed watching the animals roam.
Pros:
The space of the room and the view of the SavannahCons:
You do a lot of walking to get yo your room if your room is not close to the elevator. It can be exhausting after a long day at the park.Review of AMC Fork and Screen Theatres

We absolutely love being able to sit down to a movie and have dinner and drinks. The seats in the Fork & Screen theatres are oversized and you can choose your seats ahead of time, either on the app or in person at the ticket window. Soon after you sit down a server will approach to make sure you have menus and take your drink order. Then they return to take your food order. You can request your server come by at any time via call button on the table if you need anything. There are also dim lights near the front of the table so that you can see your food. They are unobtrusive and don't detract from the movie. As far as the menu, you can stick with the traditional popcorn and candy, order appetizers and sandwiches, or even order full dinner! The food isn't out of this world great, but it's good, and the whole experience makes it worthwhile.
Pros:
The seats, the food, the service and the cocktails.Cons:
If you order more than just snacks it will undoubtedly be the most expensive movie you've ever been to.Reviewed by anng Review Date: 04/24/2019
