I was disappointed with my meal here this trip. My burger was dry and fries so so. I had eaten here in the past and had great food so this was a let down.

My friend and I did this earlier this month and had a wonderful time. The trip starts on a small vehicle that is able to go off the road. Our first stop was near the giraffe feeding area. We got to see Jabari and the other young giraffes. One of the staff came over and talked to us about the feeding of all the animals and patiently answered all our questions.
Then we went out to the Boma for time to view animals and have refreshments. There were several beers and wines available along with non-alcoholic beverages. Lots of food - meal was set up for 12 and we only had 6 on our tour. There was several CMs there who talked about what they did and told us more about the animals. There was a big storm with heavy rain so we spent more time there then usual. When we were leaving, we got to see all 3 lions running around and playing. Then they started roaring back and forth. Something I had never heard.
Pros:
Great tour of the savannah with a small group and time to ask questions. Plus great food!!Cons:

This is my absolute favorite resort and that was confirmed after my trip earlier this month. I got to meet Shelly the delightful bartender after seeing many of her posts on Facebook. Then I saw Tim who actually remembered me from my trip last year. All the CMs are extremely friendly and they all smile and greet you all the time.

We had brunch here on my birthday (my pick) and it was absolutely fabulous. The buffet has a wonderful selection of sushi, meats, cheeses. The entrees were all great (and we tried a lot since most of us ordered two entrees). Bottomless mimosas. Great jazz music. Perfect.

Our dinner here was the best meal of our trip. It is an excellent use of table service dining credit. Everything we had was delicious. Loved the appetizers. It may sound odd but my chicken was amazing. The desserts were good--gooseberry pie was the best.
The characters were fabulous. The Evil Queen was awesome--my son tried so hard to get her to laugh and it just didn't work.

This is worth a visit. The three short 3-D films are fun.
One is Get A Horse, a vintage Mickey Mouse cartoon that cleverly transitions back and forth between black and white and color. (Walt Disney actually provides the voice of Mickey Mouse.) The second is Feast, a heartwarming animated film about a Boston terrier with a passion for "people food", his master and a love interest. The third is Piper, a cute film about a hungry baby sandpiper bird who has to overcome his fear of the ocean. These are the films showing as of January, 2019. From what I understand, they will rotate but I don't know when that will be.
I wouldn't bother with a Fastpass for this attraction. You all usually wind up waiting (and standing) in the same pre-show area anyway. The theater is good-sized and holds a large number of guests. Suitable for all ages. Kids and adults will love the animation.
It's a nice seated break from all the walking, and cool and comfortable on a hot day.

If you happen to arrive when the theater doors have just closed and you have to wait for the next showing, there is no seating in the pre-show area. There's some sort of entertainment to watch on elevated TV screens, but it's a long and uninteresting 17-20 minute wait.Review of Polite Pig

The Polite Pig always seems to have a line! I have passed by many times, but this time decided to give it a try. Despite the "que" being full and almost out the door it took less than 10 minutes for me to place my order and find a seat. For myself I ordered the Burnt Ends Meatballs, BBQ Cauliflower, Tomato and Watermelon Salad, Mac and Cheese and Smoked Turkey. It was too much food, but I wanted to try a couple of extra things. Every single item was fantastic. The meatballs on top of grits were excellent - perfectly cooked. The tomato and watermelon salad had feta and pickled onions - it all mixed perfectly - was light and refreshing. The BBQ Cauliflower and Mac and Cheese could have been a meal by itself. The Turkey was perfectly smoked. Add in a plethora of BBQ sauces to try and this place just became my favorite BBQ place anywhere. You can't go wrong here if you like BBQ favorites and a lot of food!

I made a reservation for myself at 8:00 p.m. thinking this would be enough time to eat, walk outside, and watch Illuminations. Checked in at 7:55 p.m. and...waited...waited...waited. Finally at 8:23 p.m. my name was called. I was seated by a window, so at least I thought if I have to I could possibly watch Illuminations through the window. My waiter had a few large tables surrounding me and I thought that may not be a good sign...it wasn't. It took another 10 minutes to order and my food started arriving at 8:45 p.m. I ordered the Prix Fix thinking it might move a little quicker. Salad, Seared Salmon and dessert. After watching Illuminations through the window I asked my server if I could exit and watch the last 6-7 minutes outside before he brought my dessert. This was fine and they waited to bring dessert until I returned. I left the restaurant around 9:35 p.m. The food was very good, not great. The baguette bread is always warm and a nice "French" touch. The ambience is very nice here - really a great nod to French brassieres in Paris - and the wait staff is attentive. My only two complaints were I was seated so late and they don't accept Tables In Wonderland for dinner.

This is a gorgeous resort in a great location. It is a 10 minute walk to EPCOT and a 25 minute walk along a beautiful canal to Hollywood Studios. The Boardwalk is a short walk across the bridge and there is plenty of things to see and do there. They have the best swimming pool and even a sand beach for the kids to dig in. Beaches and Cream is my favorite restaurant in all of WDW. It is an old fashioned soda shop with a jukebox and a fantastic staff. WDW will be enlarging it this year because of its limited seating.
Pros:
Swimming pool with sand beach, diverse restaurants including those at the Yacht Club Resort which is attached. Location to both EPCOT,Hollywood Studios, and the BoardwalkCons:

Great resort with lots of in room amenities. Fantastically comfortable mattresses and pillows. Best location area in WDW. You can walk to both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Great choice of restaurants with much variety.
