Magic Kingdom Will Feel TOTALLY Different In ONE Week

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin officially opens in one week!

The newly reimagined ride will have new blasters, targets, ride vehicles, and a brand-new character that we’re totally obsessed with!

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin will officially open on April 8th, 2026, but right now, they’ve been having a soft opening. While it’s not guaranteed to be open, you can run by Magic Kingdom to see if it’s open so you can get those practices in to become a Galactic Hero.

The reimagined Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin features new ride vehicles inspired by the colors of Buzz Lightyear and Star Command.

The vehicles also have video monitors that provide real-time scoring updates. These are similar to the ones seen in Hollywood Studios’ shooting game Toy Story Mania, where you can see your numerical score, plus your ranking with the symbols at the bottom.

There are also new handheld blasters with always-on lasers, along with new lighting, sound, and vibration effects. These will detach from the holder for easier shooting!

The reopened ride features all-new interactive targets that react and light up when hit. They’ll flash green if you score, so now you can tell when you’ve hit!

There’s also a brand-new opening scene where Buddy, Star Command’s newest support bot, will train you to take down Zurg.

And we can’t forget about the new ride photo! Now you’ll never have to worry about forgetting your high score.
