We Tested This Disney Gear in Real Park Chaos

We’ve seen some serious chaos in Disney World.

Welcome to Main Street U.S.A.

From horrendous weather to slam-packed crowds, we’ve been through it ALL in the theme parks. Throughout all the anarchy, we’ve found some products that are absolute lifesavers to have on your person, and we’re spilling our secrets!

There are few things more chaotic in Disney World than a stormy day, and we’ve been through MANY of those! Our favorite tool for surviving the rainy summer weather? This FROGG TOGGS Breathable Rain Poncho.

I love the Frogg Toggs Poncho!

Unlike other ponchos, this one doesn’t get weighed down and humid when wet, and the quality is excellent. It also comes with a reusable pouch for storage.

Another great item to keep in your park bag for rainy days? These — admittedly bizarre — but SO useful Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers. They’ll keep your socks and shoes completely dry on a wet day.

They have grips on the bottom to keep you from slipping on wet pavement, and they zip closed to stay securely wrapped around your shoes. You can order them in several different colors as well.

We’ve worn a lot of shoes in the theme parks over the years, and for sandal fans, one of our favorite options is the Teva Women’s W Original Universal Sport Sandal. Emma loves sporting these in the summertime!

They’re great for hot days, and they’re quick to dry when it’s raining. They’re also made with adjustable velcro straps.

If you’re more prone to wearing sneakers, then we’d like to recommend the Hoka Women’s Clifton 10. These are excellent for the absolute chaos of walking 20,000 steps a day in the theme parks.

You can get them in a ton of different colors and sizes on Amazon, and the soles are so comfy that we found our feet feeling surprisingly fine after wearing them for days in the parks.

Of course, one chaotic thing you have to worry about in Disney World is dehydration! It’s really easy to get dehydrated when you’re walking a ton and sweating buckets. We always recommend bringing a water bottle to refill throughout the day, and our favorite is the Owala FreeSip Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle.

The great thing about this bottle is that it has both a spout AND a straw, plus the cap comes down to cover the part where you put your mouth — no icky germs lingering there. They even have a few different lines inspired by characters from Star Wars and Disney Princesses.

Last but not least, we’ve got to harp on you about sunscreen! It’s important to wear it when you’re in Disney World, and this applicator makes putting it on easy…even when you’re sweating. Say hello to the Solar Buddies Sunscreen Applicator.

This tool is particularly helpful for little kids who don’t like having sunscreen rubbed into their face. It’s refillable and shockingly easy to use.
