REVIEW: The SECRET Menu We Can’t Stop Trying at Disneyland

One of our favorite parts about the holiday season at Disneyland Resort is all the special, limited-time treats you can grab.

As it turns out, there’s a secret holiday menu over at one of our FAVORITE spots — Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at Disneyland Hotel! We just tried a new drink AND secret snack option, and let’s just say that ONE of them you can’t miss.

Why is this menu secret, you ask? Well, because you’ve gotta ask about it to see it! It’s not going to be as widely advertised as the regular menu, but that’s what makes it extra fun!

To drink, we grabbed the Yuletide Cheers for $19, which is the most ordered (according to the Cast Member there). It’s made with Zaya Rum, Avissi Prosecco, Pomegranate Juice, Cranberry Juice, and Cinnamon Syrup.

We thought this was decently solid, but some sips were better than others because of that cinnamon syrup! If you love cinnamon, we think you’ll love this, but we did feel it tasted pretty artificial. Some sips were super strong, and in others, it was non-existent, so we would have loved to see some more balance. We couldn’t make out the prosecco too much in sips other than a few bubbles, but the rum and cranberry/pomegranate combination made for a refreshing Christmas drink, which we loved.

To eat, we grabbed the Chicken Karaage for $16, which we adored! The skin on the chicken was light and crispy, and the flavor was mostly sweet with a light salty flavor. Inside, the chicken was juicy and tender, and the sauce on the side was like a thousand island sauce with a thicker consistency. The portion seemed fair for the price, and we’d choose this over any of the quick-service chicken strips! We do wish it came with a side, but that’s our only complaint!
