Why You HAVE to Visit Radiator Springs in Disney California Adventure THIS Month

Can you believe we’re only a few weeks away from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? If you’re in the parks celebrating the season, you’re likely enjoying taking in all the decorations, special treats, and more, but do you know about THIS offering?

Over in Disney California Adventure, Radiator Springs is already one of our favorite places to visit thanks to its incredibly immersive theming, but during the holidays, things really ramp up to the next level. Did you know you can write a letter to Santa Car INSIDE the land? Here’s how!

You’ll want to head straight to Sarge’s Surplus Hut in Cars Land in Radiator Springs, and look closely, because it’s a little hard to miss! The small display consists of a little red mailbox next to a small Christmas tree, where you can write and send letters to Santa Car (Santa in the world of Cars).

There are postcards and pens right nearby, so you can write your letter and get it in the mailbox to go straight to Santa Car. We love how adorable the postcards are — they have Lightning McQueen and Mater on them, both celebrating the holidays with the phrase “Season’s Greetings.”

On the side of the mailbox, you’ll find the whole story as to why this mailbox is here — the town’s postal trucks can’t deliver Christmas letters to Santa Car because they ran out of fuel! However, Mater is taking on the mission to get everyone’s letter to Santa Car. He set up this spot to collect everyone’s letters, and then he’ll travel with Lightning McQueen up to the North Pole to deliver them all!
