NEWS: Disney Reveals NEW LOOK at 3 Major Lands Coming To Disney World

Big changes are coming to Disney World!

Walt Disney Presents models!

Lightning McQueen is moving into Magic Kingdom, Mike and Sulley are setting up Monstropolis in Hollywood Studios, and Indiana Jones is packing up to head to Animal Kingdom! We’ve been eagerly awaiting updates for quite a while now, and Walt Disney Imagineering is giving us an up-close look at the changes ahead.

Over at Walt Disney Presents in Hollywood Studios, Walt Disney Imagineering is giving us an up-close look at their current projects coming to the parks. A new display has popped up in the walk-through experience, and we are so excited to see it!

Walt Disney Imagineering Presents!

First, you can see ideas for Monstropolis in Hollywood Studios! The new land will bring the world of Monsters Inc. to life and even take you on a first-of-its-kind suspended coaster in a Disney park.

Monstropolis

In the new land, you can expect to see Mike and Sulley, along with a new show, new dining options, and more.

Mike and Sulley!

For this display, all of the concept art was previously released, but we loved getting up close to dissect each photo. You can see Boo, Mike, and Sulley clearly on the new coaster! Disney has previously shared a video on how the new coaster will work, making us more excited than we thought possible.

A closer look!

This land is replacing Muppets Courtyard, which closed in June 2025. Disney hasn’t shared an opening timeline for this new land.

An up close look!

Next, we got to check out the biggest model, which gave us a glimpse into Pueblo Esperanza in Animal Kingdom!

Pueblo Esperanza

This display was previously seen at D23 in Anaheim in 2024 when Disney first confirmed the new land, and we are seriously excited to see it again for more guests to enjoy! Behind the model, you can also see some previously released concept art.

The concept art!

We were able to get a closer look at the Casita from Encanto, which will be home to the first-ever ride inspired by the popular film. Guests will enter the Madrigal Casita and join Antonio, who has just received his special gift—the ability to communicate with animals!

The Casita!

We also spotted the entrance to the new land, as well as the location of the carousel and the new quick service location.

In addition to the Encanto ride, guests will also be able to test out the new Indiana Jones-themed attraction, which is taking over the Dinosaur building. The quick service coming to the land will be the largest in Disney World.

The new quick service!

The entire land is replacing DinoLand, which will officially close in February 2026 before Pueblo Esperanza opens in 2027.

The Tropical Americas model

Finally, the Imagineers gave us a glimpse into Piston Peak in Magic Kingdom!

Piston Peak!

The new display features concept art along with two models of Lightning McQueen and Mater! Do we think they’ll drive around the land like they do in Radiator Springs in Disney California Adventure?

The models!

The new land will feature two rides, new shopping, and (we hope) some new snacks for us to chow down on. The first ride will be a rally racer attraction! You can expect to race through mountains and dodge geysers and waterfalls, and Imagineers revealed that this queue will be located in the visitor lodge of Piston Peak National Park.

The concept art!

The second ride will be more family-friendly and will feature a new character named Ranger J. Autobahn Woodlore. You can see him in the bottom right corner of the concept art of the entire land.

A full overview of the land!

This area is replacing Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America, which previously closed in July 2025. Disney hasn’t shared an opening timeline for the new land.

This is so exciting!

We love getting to see these projects come to life after so many years of waiting! As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney news and updates.
