It’s August 29th, and that means the day has finally come — The Beak and Barrel is officially open in Magic Kingdom!

We’ve gotten to try a few of the dining options here, but are getting ready to grab EVERYTHING on the menu so you’ve got a plan going in to your reservation (if you can grab one, they’re going fast!). There are so many hidden details and interactive elements inside this new lounge — here’s why you won’t want to miss out on dining here!
This new lounge is located right next to Pirates of the Caribbean in Adventureland. There’s a maximum of two drinks per person 21+, and you’ll only be allowed in the lounge for 45 minutes due to the low capacity.

Advance Dining Reservations are highly encouraged, and as it stands, they’re pretty tough to get! However, some last-minute reservations may pop up the day of your visit, so check with the host stand or your My Disney Experience App frequently. We did speak with a Cast Member today who said there is no current wait list for walk-up guests.

This cozy, dark space features tons of details that match the pirating lifestyle — there are cannonball-shaped holes in the wall, pirate flags, and lots and lots of barrels (filled with rum, of course!). There are hidden details ALL over, such as an Enchanted Rum Bottle gifted to Captain Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn, the creator of the pub, by a powerful Enchantress. As long as it stays full, the lounge will never run out of drinks!

You’ll also see Rummy, who looks a lot like Barker Bird, who flew the coop from his post at the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. He’s Captain Merry’s right-hand, and you’ll be able to see him pop out from time to time. Additionally, don’t forget to keep an eye on the ships in a bottle — they break out into battle from time to time!

Don’t forget to look up too — there are so many details above your head you won’t want to miss!

There are multiple dining options available here, as well as lots of specialty cocktails. If you don’t drink, don’t worry — nonalcoholic options are available too!

There are six different seating areas/rooms to explore in the bar, and each one is so distinct. We recommend looking around and every direction and checking out each and every direction!
- The Mess Hall (the main area with long tables, previously the dining area for Spanish soldiers)
- The Cursed Bar (shaped like a skull!)
- The Captains’ Quarters (previously the residence of the Spanish Comandante — don’t miss this ornate fireplace in the middle!)
- Four Captains’ Booths (for a bit more privacy if you want to tell your pirating stories)
- A Private Sitting Room further into the Captain’s Quarters
- The Mapmaker’s Room (can you solve the mysteries of the tools on the table and maps on the walls?)
