The Number One NEW Unspoken Rule You Must Follow on Test Track When It Reopens in EPCOT

NEW RIDE! NEW RIDE! NEW RIDE!

Breedlove at Test Track

That might be the only thing going through your head as you head towards Test Track after it opens on July 22nd. Before you hop in line for the newly reimagined ride, take this note of warning.

Your Test Track car will take you on a complete journey, starting inside and ending outside, with a fast loop around the building. We love that we get to go inside and out, but let’s remember, this is Florida!

Queue

Florida might be known for its sunshine, but you can also get major rainstorms that can cause certain rides to shut down. Unfortunately, Test Track is one of those!

Outside on Test Track

While a majority of the queue is inside, on busy days, you might have to wait outside. We’re not sure anyone enjoys waiting in line, but we definitely don’t enjoy it when we’re being pelted with rain.

Indoor queue

Even if you survive waiting in the queue in the rain, and feel the safety of the indoor portions of the queue, your problems might not be over yet. Test Track can completely shut down if the storm is severe enough. Trust us, you don’t want to be racing around EPCOT and getting hit with rain while going 60 mph.

Hop in!

If you see those storm clouds in the distance but think you might be able to sneak on beforehand, just be warned: you might end up waiting far longer than you originally planned. You might be staying in the queue while waiting for the storm to pass, which might not be on your EPCOT bucket list.

Indoor queue

Our biggest advice before hopping in line for Test Track? Check the weather! There are plenty of other fully indoor attractions that remain open during the storms — it’s just not Test Track.

Buckle up!

The new version of Test Track opens on July 22nd, with early previews for Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, and more scheduled to take place about a week or two beforehand. Before running in line, pull open the weather app and take a peek.
