The massive California wildfires have been burning since early January. Buildings have burned to the ground, and homes were destroyed. Amid the disaster, companies like Disney and Universal have offered donations and other forms of aid, including special gifts for first responders.

The Walt Disney Company has provided support for its employees affected by the fires and donated to relief efforts, and Universal Studios Hollywood closed its theme park due to the proximity of one of the fires. Now that the fires are reported to be contained, Universal Studios Hollywood is giving back to the heroic first responders with free and discounted tickets.
Universal Studios Hollywood just announced the First Responder Heroes Ticket. These tickets are valid through April 10th, 2025, and give all eligible active U.S.-based first responders one complimentary general admission ticket PLUS a 50% discount on up to three additional tickets.

First responder positions included in this gift are paramedics/emergency medical technicians, firefighters, police officers/Sheriff’s deputies, and National Guard members. Note that these tickets must be bought in person, not online ahead of time, and those who are the first responder’s companions must be present at the time of purchase.

UPDATE: The Walt Disney Company has also announced a special Heroes Ticket for first responders working the LA wildfires. The Heroes Ticket includes two complimentary One Day Park Hopper Tickets for eligible California firefighters and LA-based law enforcement.

The Heroes Ticket will be available to eligible California firefighters as well as eligible Los Angeles-based law enforcement personnel and emergency medical technicians who helped combat the LA fires in January 2025. And, it will also be available to eligible individuals from other departments that provided mutual aid assistance. This ticket will be valid from May 5th to August 7th, 2025, on Mondays through Thursdays. A theme park reservation will be required and is subject to availability.
More detailed information, including eligibility and verification requirements, and how to register for this offer, will be communicated directly to qualifying fire, police, and sheriff’s departments in April.
