When you’re heading to Disney World, you should expect to see some rides temporarily close throughout the day. These closures can be weather-related, or due to a technical difficulty. Either way, they are hard to predict!

However, knowing which rides have a reputation for randomly closing can really come in handy when you’re planning your day. We just crunched the numbers to see which rides had the most issues in each park this past month, and let’s just say…you might be surprised that THESE rides are closing throughout the day.
Magic Kingdom
While we were expecting to see some of Disney’s technologically advanced rides report more issues, that wasn’t the case! Over the course of the whole month, the ride that closed the most? Prince Charming Regal Carrousel with 54 closures!

The PeopleMover also had major issues this past month with 44 closures, and the only ride on the list that’s “more advanced” is Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, with 36 closures. Very interesting, so if you’re heading to the park soon, prioritize Fantasyland as a whole!
EPCOT
In a similar vein, the most common closure in EPCOT was The Seas with Nemo and Friends, closing 51 times over the course of the month!

However, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure wasn’t far behind with 48 closures, but we expect that from a trackless dark ride like this. Spaceship Earth and Journey into Imagination also struggled more than we expected, but we were pleasantly surprised not to see Frozen Ever After on this list!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Poor Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster — despite its extensive refurbishments over the past few years, it’s still struggling. In January, it landed at the top of the closures list for the whole park, closing 32 times.

Rise of the Resistance was just a few behind at 29 closures, but again, we’re not surprised by that, nor are we surprised Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway landed in third. Trackless dark rides are almost always at a higher risk of closing due to having so many moving pieces that could cause the ride to close at any time.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Over in Animal Kingdom, Expedition Everest had a ROUGH month with 19 closures. However, that’s not what interests us the most.

Instead, we’re focusing on the fact that TriceraTop Spin, which was only open for a few DAYS out of the month before closing for good, somehow still shut down 8 times! Yes, while we loved this ride and will miss it, we do think it was screaming for help.
