Disney World has some NEW views!

Disney World’s newest — and arguably most controversial — hotel is finally open. The new DVC Island Tower at the Polynesian Village Resort has received mixed responses from many Disney fans over its design, but there’s no denying that the hotel offers some new perks including brand-new views!
Some of the best fireworks views at Walt Disney World can be found around the Seven Seas Lagoon, with the Grand Floridian, Contemporary, and Polynesian Village offering their own unique views of the Magic Kingdom’s nighttime spectacular. Now, the new Island Tower has joined the rotation.
We were able to check out the views from a few areas of the new tower, and we had THOUGHTS.
First, we checked out the fireworks views from two of the new hotel’s Terrace Garden areas. We caught the first portion of the show from the lower Bamboo Terrace, which is located on the hotel’s third floor.

This area was a bit low but still provided a good view of Cinderella Castle and the fireworks above it, all soundtracked to the show’s musical score. This area was practically empty, which was a plus.

Towards the end of the show, we jetted up to the Wave Break Terrace on the hotel’s fifth floor. The views from this space were phenomenal, providing sweeping views of not just the castle and the fireworks, but all of Main Street U.S.A. as well.

Just like the Bamboo Terrace, the Wave Break Terrace pumps in the show’s soundtrack. This area was much more crowded, and will likely be the most popular spot in the building to try and catch the nighttime spectacular.

The Island Tower’s beach also provided spectacular fireworks views, and was pretty empty, especially compared to the busy beaches at the original Polynesian. However, we would expect this area to become a larger fireworks draw as more people become familiar with the new hotel and its nooks and crannies.
