It is almost time to set sail on the Disney Treasure.

The Disney Treasure will be Disney Cruise Line’s sixth and newest ship when it sets sail in December of this year. This ship is a sister ship to the Disney Wish and is part of the Triton Class of ships. This means that there will be a lot of similarities to the Disney Wish, but some areas will have their twist or different theming.
The AquaDuck aboard the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy are identical and were the first water coasters at sea. When the Disney Wish came out, instead of the AquaDuck, the AquaMouse was introduced. This became Disney’s first water attraction at sea.

The AquaMouse looks similar to the AquaDuck and works almost the same way. Instead of being launched right away, you ride a conveyor belt past screens that are telling a story, hence the attraction. The Disney Wish has a different variant of the attraction as compared to its sister ship, the Disney Treasure.

The Disney Treasure is all about, well, you guessed it, treasure. So it is only fitting that the AquaMouse on the Disney Treasure features both Mickey and Minnie Mouse in the Curse of the Golden Egg.

Just like any new attraction, the AquaMouse is going to be popular. Even today, AquaDuck, on both Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, can draw large lines. So when is the best time to ride the AquaMouse: Curse of the Golden Egg on the Disney Treasure? We are happy you asked!

The Disney Treasure will be sailing the Disney Fantasy’s current itineraries, switching between seven-day Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings. On most itineraries, you will have three days at sea and four days at port.

On at-sea days, the lines for the AquaMouse can be super long since everyone is on board the ship. On port days, the ship empties out as people want to explore the port. This is the time that the ship is the least crowded, making it the perfect time to take a splash on the AquaMouse. Don’t worry. You don’t have to miss out on the port!

You can choose to go off on your own or schedule a Port Adventure through Disney Cruise Line. Port Adventures has different departure times, meaning you could ride the AquaMouse before your excursion or as soon as you get back on the ship.
While it is not always a guarantee that the line will be shorter, you have a better shot of a shorter wait time as other passengers are getting off the ship.

We are so excited to get to experience this brand-new attraction when the Disney Treasure starts sailing this winter!
