We can help you get ready for your upcoming Disney World trip with packing lists, recommended restaurants, and a how-to guide on Disney Genie+. We can also warn you about a few ride and restaurant closures that might affect your plans.

Check out this list of all the pre-scheduled closures that will affect the Disney World parks and hotels from July 30th through August 5th.
Magic Kingdom Closures
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Splash Mountain closed on January 23rd, and it’ll remain closed until late 2024.

Disney is re-theming the ride to give it a Princess and the Frog theme. When it reopens, it’ll be called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

On a recent trip, we spotted the new “Tiana’s Foods” water tower up in front of the ride. We’ll keep an eye out for more updates.

Barrel Bridge at Tom Sawyer Island
Over on Tom Sawyer Island, the barrel bridge is currently closed. In fact, it’s missing completely!

A Cast Member told us that the bridge had been removed for refurbishments, and they’re not sure when it might be back.
Hang on — there are LASERS in this Magic Kingdom gift shop now?!

The restaurant is being refurbished to become Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya, which will serve sushi and teppan items.

Shiki-Sai is expected to open in the summer of 2023.
Bees are causing a major issue in EPCOT right now.
Disney World Hotel Refurbishments
There’s a big construction project happening at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, as a new DVC tower is being built. You might see or hear construction if you’re staying at that hotel.

Over at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, some of the guest rooms are being updated, and the lobby is also getting a refresh.

Also, there are a couple of NEW restaurants coming to the BoardWalk: The Cake Bake Shop and Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs.
