This Is Why We WARN YOU About Disney World Holiday Wait Times

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Disney World is BUSY during the holiday season.

We’re keeping an eye on crowds and wait times, and if you’re in the parks today or are getting ready to head there, you might want to bring your patience! There are some seriously long wait times happening all throughout Disney World today — which rides would you be willing to wait for? Let’s find out.

It’s officially Christmas week, and that means the crowds are out in full force in Disney World! We’ve seen some pretty long wait times and congested areas of the parks — even with the cold weather Florida has been experiencing. You might want to know what you’re up against if you’re heading to Disney World soon, and if it’s anything like today you might see some LONG waits for popular attractions.

We took a peek at the My Disney Experience app to see what wait times were like this morning, and we saw that at one point there were 11 rides with 100+ minute waits! Popular attractions like Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and Slinky Dog Dash in Hollywood Studios had 105 and 120 minute waits, respectively.

Over in EPCOT, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure was showing a 145-minute standby wait. Rise of the Resistance was 165 minutes, and Avatar Flight of Passage had the longest wait at one point with 185 minutes.

If you’re in the parks today or are heading there soon — don’t lose hope! There are still ways to minimize the amount of time you might have to wait in line and beat the crowds. Disney Genie+ lets you bypass the standby lines for an additional fee, but if you don’t want to shell out extra dough you can consider rope-dropping the parks or staying late.

And don’t forget, several Disney World quick-service locations offer Mobile Order. This way, you can avoid having to wait in long lines to order your food and just pick it up when it’s ready instead.
