Take a Closer LOOK at TRON Testing in Disney World

Every day we’re one step closer to the exciting opening of TRON in Disney World!

While we don’t have an exact opening date, we do have an opening timeline. The ride is set to make its debut in Magic Kingdom sometime in the spring of 2023. As we wait for its opening, we have been bringing up an updated look at the ongoing construction for the Tomorrowland ride, and now we have a close-up update!

Previously we’ve seen TRON testing with weighted dummies, meant to mimic human ride testing.

Now, Twitter user @bioreconstruct has shared a closer look at these weighted dummies. You’ll notice they are pushed forward by a back rest, meant to put the dummies into the forward-facing position that riders will be in for the bike-like vehicles.

@bioreconstruct also shared a look at the back vehicle, which you’ll notice has a traditional seat and lap bar for riders that are unable to sit in the bike vehicles.

Most guests will ride Tron leaning forward as if in a Light Cycle. These guests are secured with a backrest that presses forward.
