The sequel to 2018’s Black Panther will be released into theaters on November 11th. We’ve already seen the trailer, some cool merchandise, and know about special offerings coming to the Disney Parks to celebrate the movie. But, the movie is also bringing us something else to look forward to — Rihanna’s return to the music world!

That’s right — we’re finally going to get some new music from Rihanna. Her new song “Lift Me Up” will be the lead single for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, according to Variety. The song will be a tribute to the life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman and will be released on Friday, October 28th.

The song was written by Rihanna, Tems, Ludwig Göransson, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler. We don’t know much about what the song will sound like yet except for the small clip that Rihanna shared on Twitter.

Tems, a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer, said that “After speaking with Ryan and hearing his direction for the film and the song, I wanted to write something that portrays a warm embrace from all the people that I’ve lost in my life. I tried to imagine what it would feel like if I could sing to them now and express how much I miss them.” She went on to say that “Rihanna has been an inspiration to me so hearing her convey this song is a great honor.”

This is pretty much the most information we know about the movie’s soundtrack right now, but it will be released on November 4th, so we won’t have to wait too much longer to check it out. The music was a big part of the first Black Panther film, with Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “All The Stars” getting an Oscar nomination for original song and several Grammy nominations.

Marvel said in a press release that this song “ushers in the next era of Rihanna’s iconic career.” Her return will continue when she headlines the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show next February. It’s been over 5 years since we last got a full-length release from Rihanna.
