NEW Details on WHEN to See KiteTails in Disney World

Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration inspired the debut of several new shows, including KiteTails!

Timon and Pumba!

KiteTails has been working through some growing pains ever since the show took flight last October, including some funny fails (which was inevitable when centering a show around huge kites). More recently, the way you watch the show was changed, and we have some more information on how you can catch the show in its new format!

We already knew that the show was changed to provide more frequent showtimes with shorter performance times. The goal was for guests around Discovery River Lagoon to be able to experience the show throughout the location.

Hey, Simba!

We spoke about the shift with a Cast Member today, who gave us some more details about the changes! We had witnessed that each show would only be a snippet of the original 10 minute performance — now know the shortened show is set to occur every 20 minutes. These brief showtimes take place between 9:10AM and 3:10PM, as reflected on the My Disney Experience App.

You can catch bits of The Lion King kites or The Jungle Book kites with popular songs like Circle of Life and I Want to Be Like You! However, you’ll notice the absence of the puppets and Cast Members that used to perform with the show.
