UPDATE on 3 Continuing Closures in Disney World This Week

No matter what time of year you’re visiting Disney World, there’s likely a construction project or two going on throughout the parks and resorts.

Here at AllEars, we keep you posted on all those closures so that you aren’t surprised by anything when you go on vacation! And, today we’re bringing you a refurbishment update on all the attractions and shops that will be CLOSED from December 6th to 12th, 2021.

Magic Kingdom Refurbishments

Walt Disney World Railroad

It’s been a LONG time since guests could hop on the Walt Disney World Railroad and take a loop around the park. And, that won’t be anytime soon according to Disney World’s calendar.

Currently, a portion of the railroad track in Tomorrowland is being blocked by construction on TRON: Lightcycle Run. Disney has not yet announced a date (or even a timeline) for the new roller coaster could open, so the railroad will likely be closed for a little while longer.

EPCOT Refurbishments

Souk-Al-Magreb

Over in EPCOT, the small shop in the Morocco Pavilion, Souk-Al-Magreb, has been closed for a few weeks now and will continue to be closed through the rest of next week.

Disney’s refurbishment calendar currently has the shop set to reopen on February 6th, 2022, but we’ll keep an eye out for any additional updates in the meantime!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Refurbishments

Kali River Rapids

Lastly, the closure of Kali River Rapids will continue throughout the week, as Disney performs routine maintenance on the water ride in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The attraction was originally set to reopen in mid-December, however that date has since been pushed back to January 3rd, 2022 according to Disney’s calendar.
