Yesterday, we shared the news that Gary Marsh would be stepping down from his role as President of Disney Branded Television at the end of 2021.
After his departure, Marsh will launch his own production company backed by Disney General Entertainment for content arriving on Disney+ as well as other streaming and linear platforms.
According to Variety, it has been announced that Ayo Davis will assume the role of Disney Branded Television’s next President!
Davis most recently served as EVP, creative development and strategy at Disney Branded Television. She will work alongside Marsh in this transition period and will fully assume the role after Marsh’s departure at the end of 2021. As the head of Disney Branded Television, Davis will oversee content creation for streaming platforms like Disney+ as well as Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior.
