Even Disney World Experts May Not Notice This 50th Anniversary Hidden Detail

With just a little over a week until the 50th Anniversary celebrations kick off at Walt Disney World, the excitement levels are running high!

It’s an exciting time to visit Disney World!

We can’t wait to see the new fireworks shows, check out Mickey and Minnie in their special costumes, and discover all the surprises that the parks have to offer during the next 18 months. Today Disney more details on the anniversary decorations in the parks, including a detail that most guests won’t notice on their own!

In honor of the upcoming milestone, Magic Kingdom Park has been getting a gradual makeover over the past few months. The castle got special decor and many classic rides around the park got touch-ups and refurbishments. In many places in Fantasyland, you’ll spot new gold accents to highlight some of the classics.

And if you look carefully, you may spot a hidden nod to the 50th Anniversary in the new gold accents. Take a ride on “it’s a small world” and glance at the clock tower — the 5 and the 0 have been adorned with gold leaf!
