NEWS: Mask Policy Updated for Disneyland Cast Members

There’s been a lot of news from Disneyland since it reopened.

Although Disneyland just recently reopened, it debuted a brand new land (Avengers Campus), and we’ve seen the end of temperature checks, the end of mask requirements for guests in  most situations, and the return of live entertainment.

But another change has been announced: face coverings for fully vaccinated Disneyland Cast Members will become optional. Thanks to Joe (@shreiberjoe on Instagram) for alerting us.

According to a post from Workers United Local 50 on their Facebook, this policy will go into effect as of tomorrow. However, note that all Cast Members who work indoors must still wear masks at all times. The new policy also indicates that physical distancing will be optional for vaccinated Cast Members. Cast Members who choose to wear masks and secondary PPE will be allowed to do so.

This policy is similar to one adopted earlier by Disney World, although Disney World recently dropped the mask requirement for vaccinated Cast Members indoors, too.
