As Disney World has continued its phased reopening plan over the past year, we’ve seen changes to mask policies for guests, temperature screenings, and physical distancing measures.

And, things are changing for Cast Members too! Most recently, Disney updated their policy to allow for vaccinated Cast Members to go without a mask while outdoors, and now there’s another change!
Beginning today, June 25th, fully vaccinated Cast Members are no longer required to wear face masks when indoors at the parks and resorts. So, now they have the option of wearing a mask when working indoors and outdoors.

We confirmed this with a Cast Member at the Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom and noticed that about half of the other Cast Members working were wearing masks.

And, another update to health and safety measures went into effect today — now PhotoPass and other Cast Members can take photos with guest phones and cameras. Previously, Disney wasn’t allowing this to reduce the risk to employees.

These changes joins other health and safety updates like the removal of plexiglass dividers in queues and the increase in capacity in the parks. Of course, we will continue to keep an eye out for more updates, so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!

Do you normally ask PhotoPass Cast Members to snap a photo on your phone? Let us know in the comments!
No, I do not hand my phone over. Not because of germs but because I do not want it dropped.
