Disney has been busy creating award-winning films and soundtracks!

The past two years brought us stunning films like Frozen 2, Toy Story 4, and the live-action remake of The Lion King, to name a few. Among these films, beautiful soundtracks and compositions were created by some of the greatest film composers in the industry. It’s been announced that Disney has received four Grammy nominations this year!
Frozen 2 was a huge hit for kids and adults alike. Much like the original, the animated movie brought us more songs to sing along with! The film has received a nomination for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media and Best Song Written for Visual Media (“Into the Unknown”).

Onward is also up for a Grammy this year! The Pixar film will compete with Frozen 2 for Best Song Written for Visual Media. The song up for a nomination is “Carry Me with You” written by Brandi Carlile, Phil Hanseroth, and Tim Hanseroth.

The Star Wars saga is no stranger to sweeping orchestrations and award-winning film compositions. It’s hard to go wrong when you have John Williams on your team! Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has received a nomination for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media.

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures produced Jojo Rabbit, which was nominated for several Golden Globes. The critically-acclaimed film won for Best Adapted Screenplay and is now up for a Grammy nomination in the Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media category.

The films eligible for the 2021 Grammy Awards were released between September 1st, 2019 through August 31, 2020. You can tune into the Grammy Awards on Sunday, January 31st, at 8:00PM ET on CBS!
