NEWS: Disney+ Announces Combined Subscription Deal with Brazil's Globoplay

Ever since Disney+ launched in November 2019, millions of people across the globe have joined the Disney streaming service. We’ve seen Verizon offer its customers a year-long free trial to the service, and the ability to bundle Disney+ with other streaming services here in America.

While we have grown incredibly fond of the streaming service, there are certain parts of the world that are still waiting for access. Many parts of Europe didn’t receive access to the service until March of 2020, three months after the US debut. Several parts of Latin America will finally be able to use Disney+ later this month, but one streaming service is providing early access for its customers.

According to Variety, Disney+ has signed a joint subscription deal with Globoplay — a fast-growing streaming video on demand company based out of Brazil.

The combined subscription will give customers access to both to Globoplay and Disney+ for R$43.90, or about $7.60 in American currency. One huge benefit of this joint subscription is that it allows its subscribers early access to the Disney+ platform. The Disney+ and Globoplay joint subscription kicked in on November 3rd, while Disney+ officially launches in Latin American on November 17th.
