Since its earliest years, the Disneyland Resort has capped off every evening with a fireworks spectacular. And throughout Disneyland’s history, those spectaculars have changed and evolved

Here are five shows that we would LOVE Disneyland to bring back!
Disneyland Forever
Disneyland Forever first premiered for the park’s 60th Diamond Anniversary and ran for the year following. It made a brief revival appearance a couple of years later. The show was a technological feat in that it used projection design throughout the park and not just along Main Street, U.S.A.. Guests could also view the show from “it’s a small world” as well as the Rivers of America.

You can check out our video of Disneyland Forever as seen on Main Street U.S.A. below! Get your tissues ready.
Remember…Dreams Come True!
Ten years prior to the debut of Disneyland Forever, there was Remember…Dreams Come True! to mark Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary. The show was narrated by Julie Andrews and took guests on a spectacular journey through the various lands of the park.

At the time, Remember was the most expensive fireworks show Disney had ever developed. Fireworks were set off all around the park in addition to creative lighting and pyrotechnics. The show featured the memorable song “Wishes,” which was also a part of the beloved Disney World fireworks spectacular of the same name.
Fantasy in the Sky
Fantasy in the Sky was the very first nighttime spectacular at the Disneyland Resort! It originally debuted in 1956, just one year after the park opened for guests. The show later introduced Tinker Bell flying over Sleeping Beauty Castle in 1961. The show has gone through several updates and revisions since then.

Over the years, versions of Fantasy in the Sky have performed around the globe at Disney World, Disneyland Paris, and Tokyo Disney Resort. Every once in a while, Fantasy in the Sky makes a return appearance to Disneyland, often in between the runs of other nighttime spectaculars. It’s always welcome to come back in our book, and it would be splendid to see its earliest versions come back to the park, too!
Magical: Disney’s New Nighttime Spectacular of Magical Celebrations
For about five years between 2009-2014, the Disneyland Resort had a seasonal rotation of four fireworks shows. In the fall, their show was Halloween Screams; Believe…in Holiday Magic would play in the winter; and Remember…Dreams Come True played in the spring.

But summer was all about Magical: Disney’s New Nighttime Spectacular of Magical Celebrations. The show’s main songs were adapted from Tokyo Disneyland’s It’s Magical spectacular which debuted for the resort’s 10th Anniversary, as well as Splashtacular from EPCOT. Dumbo even flew over the castle!
Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular
Our last fireworks show we would love to see return had the shortest run of all of the shows on our list. Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular was part of Pixar Fest which took place during the summer of 2018. The show featured songs from Pixar films like Cars, Coco, and Up, at which point Carl’s balloon house could be seen soaring above Sleeping Beauty Castle.
