With the spread of Coronavirus, there have been a lot of questions in regards to the effect it will have on travel, including with cruises.

While Disney Cruise Line had previously released its precautionary restrictions, they have now released new Coronavirus policies that will go into effect immediately.
According to the statement, Disney Cruise Line is closely monitoring the developing world health situation. They are also closely following the guidance of health officials in all ports of call.

The following precautionary guidelines are in place to keep the health of guests at the forefront:
- Any person who has traveled to or through China, South Korea, Italy, Iran, or Japan within 14 days of departure are not permitted to board a ship.
- Anyone who is suspected of Coronavirus exposure, such as those with connecting flights in the above countries or contact with a potentially infected person, will not be permitted to board a ship.
- The current standard health screening for guests and crew members before they board has been updated to include a temperature check. Additional medical screening will be required for anyone with a temperature of 100.4 F or above, and they along with their travel party may be unable to sail.
- The Bahamas are not letting anyone who has been to China, South Korea, Italy, or Iran in the last 20 days disembark at their ports. Guests may be permitted to sail in this case but would have to stay on the ship.
- Jamaica has similar stipulations, but with the added restrictions of people who have been to Singapore in the last 14 days.

In the instance that your sailing will be affected by one of these instances, you can call 1-866-325-2112 or 407-566-3510.

Of course, Disney Cruise Line employs very high sanitation standards on their ship and the cast and crew is well-equipped to handle illness. Still, if you would like to cancel your cruise in light of the virus, the Line is offering select dates the option to reschedule their cruise. If you are sailing between now and May 31st, 2020, you can change your reservation up until the day prior to your scheduled embarkment, and can receive a 100% cruise credit that must be used within the next year (no refunds or reimbursements will be given — instead, guests may reschedule using the credit).

We will keep you updated as we learn more of the situation.
